One of these specimens hosts a WFC podcast!!

Won’t be listening to that again!!!
Yes saw that .

I don’t think he has been on for a while .

This is probably why .

Going by the general reaction around there might be some who wish they did have a ban from going !

This article seems to indicate that our owners are not so bad after all

No compared to a lot of teams we aren't too badly off although will need to cut the wage bill as it's above 100% of our turn over although probably no worse than most other clubs.

And no doubt if the Pozzos did that to help keep the club going they'd soon be accused of penny pinching and having no ambition.

A lot of these clubs have pushed the boat out spending wise and been caught out or had to be bailed out with rich owners and investment.

Which can bring success but certainly no guarantee.

Generally maybe there needs to be a wage cap system but clubs and players aren't going to agree to that at all.

Sad news .

Another member of our 1969 promotion winning side in Brian Garvey has died aged 88.

Sad news indeed. Two memories of him stand out for me -

When a friend and I were hitchhiking to a Watford game in Grimsby back in the 60s, the team coach pulled up just ahead of us - Brian had spotted us, told the driver to pull over, got out and offered us a lift the rest of the way. I couldn't imagine that happening these days.

I bumped in to him in Melbourne in the mid 80s when he was manager of Heidelberg United - my jaw dropped when he recognised me and recalled stopping the team coach for us.

A true gent. <rose>
