I thought the play offs had lanced that boil .. And i think if they are top they deserve to be there , but it seems i still fkn resent them ..
Watching them tonight and I have to say that I didn't think that much of them. I haven't seen all that much of them this season to be honest, but they didn't seem massively better than Derby tonight. Derby were the better team at the start but conceded due to some poor goalkeeping but then finished the half the stronger after equalizing and could have been a couple of goals up at the break. Even after Coventry took the lead again Derby always looked in it and even though it wasn't a penalty it was probably a deserved equalizer on the balance of play but then Coventry scored virtually straight afterwards.

I'll give them credit for being resilient and they have some good players at championship level, but to me they don't look like a team that's almost a dozen points better that their nearest challengers. Maybe I'm being biased against them and the sycophantic love in about them, but that what I think.

I've watched them on a few times.

They are decent in most areas, similar to Boro, and the others up there.

But what has them top, and what nearly got them up last season is that they score a lot of goals. Wright will be close to 20 this year and Thomas Asante, Simms and Rudoni all score . If one isn't, the other will.

What they do will not keep them up. They won't get the time or space and their spine is not PL level.

From their chairman's comments a few weeks ago about how we'd sold our soul to stay up, either he's bullshitting their players to make they think they'll get a chance next season or they'll be challenging for the Derby points record.
How the fcuk have we sold our soul, by spending money we can afford with a plan.
Unlike begging for a murderous regime to buy you out.
I hope piles burst from a cobra bite.

I would stake a decent chunk of money on the 3 coming up going back down again next season. I'd love to see Millwall come up not because I like them just would like to see a club that ain't been in the premiership before. Wrexham would be another id like to see come uo for the same reason really.

Think if it was Coventry Millwall and Wrexham they would all get smashed to pieces and probably put up less of a fight than the 3 last season.

His load of bollocks comment was we didn't stick with the team that got us promoted so we had sold out/sold our soul, however he put it!

It came across as very bitter and deluded. As another poster has said unless he is bullshitting for the players sakes his comments were that the lads who got the team promoted deseverve to be the players on promotion, so they are going down!

I see that Curtis Davis said after their game last night that coventry were the better team over two legs against Sunderland, despite them never leading at any point in either match. Seems these pundits just can’t let it go.

Better team over two legs, if only there was a way to see who was the better team? Any one think of a way to work it out as I am stumped?

They deserve credit, they have dominated the division and will be promoted contrary it with games to spare.

I was reading their forum earlier and few of their posters were stating their team is far better than ours so they won’t need a major rebuild. Similar to their chairmen’s comments. That’s music to my ears as they needs as much of an overall, if not more than we did.

I’m hoping them with Boro and Millwall coming up (whichever misses automatics to win play offs or I’d quite like Derby to sneak in and win play offs.

Fans are deluded if they see their team win the championship and thinktl this team is good we don't need to change much, even if completely dominant!

Players are needed and change to how you play. How many stubborn managers have went up playing attacking football where they play out, pass it about and generally have plenty of time on the ball and think they can do the same in the Premier league?

Hopefully Coventry come up and they think the players are good enough that they don't need to add more than 2 or 3 players and that their way of playing worked so well to win the league that they can play that way again! Because it would it be a laugh and would be one place on the bottom 3 taken!
