He was appalling this evening. I'm not focusing on the missed pen, but his overall play was brainless. And as you suggest, his worst offences were failing to read the game and stalling his runs in at the back post.

Such a good player at Forest you have to wonder what's happening to him. It's like his time with Spurs drained him of all self confidence
Why should the effect of the Club be any different for him than the rest of us?

high odds on both escaping injury today.

Anyway, it was a pointless waste of 2 weeks at a crucial part of the club season given how many players withdrew from the squad. There was never a time when the likely starting XI at the WC played together. Bits and pieces teams featuring some players who may not even make the final squad seems futile.

I wrote elsewhere about being a Jonah...guess who was at Wembley last night!!! Thankfully the ticket was a freebie the game was terrible - Japan everything England aren't - Confident in their system, quick, incisive, well drilled, organised and deserved winners. Too many square pegs in round holes for England 3 number 10s and still no creativity.
I suspect Foden and Palmer won't get in now. Missed out in the last chance saloon. Probably had to give them a shot.

The FA insist on certain players being in the squad no matter what, and the manager has to try and make a working team around that
Both are drastically overrated. Foden particularly. Flat track bully in the PL with the quality City can surround him with.
Palmer arguably has the more potential but his mentality is so weak he could fit in at Spurs in a shot!!
