That's why I thought he deserved his own thread D.
I loved going there, the music was often fantastic.
Sad news. Didn’t know him but what he has done for the music scene in Hull is immeasurable.
Must have seen hundreds of bands there over the years, though my visits are less than frequent and must have been over a year, though he was there seeing the band/s

Oasis, Green Day, Pulp, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Manics, Housemartins. Just a few of the great bands he got to play at the Adelphi, which is basically a couple of old housed knocked through. Amazing.
What a legacy for a small venue Adelphi has, renowed, and for local bands as well as famous, remember him letting my son's band play, RIP Jacko.
I didn't know the chap, but still very sad to hear that someone who was up there on the Hull music scene has passed away.

Went quite a few times to Adelphi. Great venue. Really sad news. RIP Paul, you’ve left a tremendous legacy.

I still go regularly (played there a few times too) and saw Jacko at a gig only a few months ago (in his wheelchair)
