Given that all we have to do to stay up is to get about the same number of points per game as we've managed so far while playing slightly worse opposition with a squad with fewer injuries, a £10m bonus seems quite generous.

Same number of points per game?

How far back are you going to calculate that?

2017?

As long as when they are available he doesn't just pass it blindly to a MF player who he can directly see is just about to be closed down....
This is the weird thing about building from the back: whenever we have a system that does so we only use the CBs, which is half the available options - and that's before suggesting the DM drop deeper to offer an extra option

It just makes us easier to counter

Yeah you need multiple options to do it.

5 players taking their turns in getting the ball from the keeper. Spurs try it but either don’t work on it in training or just aren’t very good at all.

The odd thing is some players drop back at different times, but not to play out from the back

Bentancur used to drop back when Romero pushed up as they had an understanding of where each other would be, but I don't recall Bentancur dropping back when we were playing out from the back

Just this season. We are averaging almost exactly one. Eight from the last seven games will almost certainly be enough.

But the main issue is that the bonus is simply an incentive for de Zerbi to join...it surely can't affect what he will do once he is here. If he is actually a better coach than Frank then getting an extra point from seven matches shouldn't be tricky. If he isn't then it's money down the toilet whether we survive or not.

Which would be a mistake. The fewer matches you select the less likely the data is to be significant so it is less suitable for important decisions.

Not on this occasion. This is a unique situation for Spurs.

Form and momentum in a relegation battle is huge.

been discussed a few pages back mate...most not interested in him coming...
I think he’ll keep you safe. If he does, he’s worth the 5 year contract even if he’s gone by the end of the year.

I also think the women should be focusing on the bad apple. He’s done nothing wrong.

They are panicking which almost always leads to the wrong decisions.
The ENIC desire to kick 'the inevitable' further down the road has served us poorly, as a rule. Only building more structures has ever received the priority that the football club deserves.

A considerable lack of haste resulted in Frank overstaying his welcome by 2 months. During that time, we dropped like a rock.

A lack of haste in prioritising the club's PL place led to the appointment of a more temporary coach than Nuno, who had no experience of English football...and here we are.

It's not the panicking that's the problem, it's the total lack of foresight, to see the blatantly ****ing obvious...and act on it, before it becomes far, far worse. Better to put a sticking plaster on a mortal wound and see what happens...

Now that we're in the jaws of footballing disaster, we're sacking coaches for fun and handing out £10m as if it was spare change.

It ain't panicking that's got us here, it's rank bad management by the woeful collection of ****ers who have occupied the boardroom over the last decade.

To add insult to injury, Daniel is now suing his former cohorts for even more money...

...what a ****!

I would bet my house that the stats don't agree with you. But there is no easy way to check.

I’m just going from the last PL win. Spurs started the season actually quite well but then it’s got progressively worse.

Tudor got 1 point in the league. The club were right to get rid. The big mistake by them was appointing him in the first place but going by stats you can see why they did as he usually improved teams mid season.

Like I said the other day, there is no set formula for a successful manager but there is a right/wrong fit. Spurs need to find the right fit. Is that De Zerbi? Time will tell.

Is this the right place for this, what are your thoughts on De Zerbi?

Immediate remit would be to stop your lot playing like absolute muppets for the next 7 games, assuming he can do that get you pushed back up to the European spots and then actually challenging like you were under Pochettino.

I actually really rate De Zerbi, I'm not one of those Gooners that wants Spurs relegated, I think the Prem will be worse for it, No NLD needle, no West Ham needle, no Chelsea needle, we need those games. Important for London.
