It’s not that unusual you meet people who are good at football and just those annoying ****s who are class at all sport without loving watching it. Cantona wasn’t a big football fan apparently. David Batty too.

No but they were both excellent footballers with very different skill sets. Both were far better footballers than Ben Orange who shouldn’t be in the squad after deserting.

Remember the interview with Winterburn - it was shortly after he retired, I think, and he was being asked about an upcoming Hammers game - he confessed he wouldn't be watching, rarely watched football and didn't really like it - but it was something he had been good at and earned him a good living. There was an audible shocked pause before the interviewer asked what he would actually be doing during the match - he replied 'probably fishing.Love fishing.' ... think the interviewer might have thought he was joking - then realised he wasn't.

Batty was a fantastic footballer. Had the balls to step up and take a Penno in France 98 too.

Like I said last we've included someone who never actually played for us as well as a kitman. Their list is even funnier.
