Alan Smith is one of the worst and most biased pundits out there. No idea why but he's been up the mags arses for years. I remember him crawling after Shearer when he was still playing doing punditry on SKY one match, he was like Smithers in the Simpsons.

He was a lucky player who got into a good Arsenal team and benefited from having the likes of Limpar Merson, Rocastle, Michael Thomas and Kevin Campbell playing along side him. He only got England caps because of Graham Taylor's poor management. How the **** he's a pundit for so long I don't know.

By Friday I'd half convinced myself that then having Bruno & Tonali missing and us having a chance of having 4 of our injured back we'd have an even chance of getting a result.....
Then the team news came out on Sunday and like many others I thought this could go wrong for us ( I should have had more faith).
Then Luke has his rick and it's here we go (I should have had more faith)....
What I'd failed to remember is the grit and determination we have in our squad that plainly Newcastle haven't.
When they went 1 up I expected a barrage but it didn't happen, they kept lumping in crosses or went long and achieved a header off the post and tested our young keeper once with a shot....in short they were poor cos we made them poor...no wonder their fans were furious with what they were watching.
We played all the football second half and til the end couldn't have been more apt.
All Newcastles ambitions are built on a foundation of sand unlike ours which is the complete opposite....
I've said a few times it's a great time to be a lads fan and we can sit back and see where the rest of the season takes us....and if we don't improve our current 11th spot it doesn't really matter, we've proved everybody wrong from pundits to other teams fans....bring on next season I can't wait.
Sorry it's a bit long but it's been a long weekend.

Probably already been mentioned but how did they get away with making 6 subs? Surely not for the concussion when that was the first sub they made?

Just watching our winner from another angle. First time I noticed Jer Lintun trying to break up the celebrations. He tried to push Xhaka and Gertrude out of the way. Brobbey then turns around to face him and he backpedals. Guuuuurrllld.

Ha ha, I spotted that too. Was like he looked up and thought "nope" before walking away without making anymore fuss.

Sunderland not very good compared with Newcastle - Gordon

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/czx9ry2r0j2o

Nice of Gordon to do the 26/27 team talks for us as well.

The most telling stat for me is the one below. Testament to our team spirit and RLB's tactical nous:

"Sunderland's comeback win on Sunday meant they had gained 19 points from a losing position, with Newcastle's tally just three on the same metric, and the Magpies have dropped 22 points from winning positions compared to eight from Le Bris' side."

What the **** is going on with their lot clinging onto their goal should have stood?

I'd be more angry at the town player who was standing right in front of the keeper. Nudging him off the field of play and putting himself in an offside position. There were 2 reasons to disallow it.

Keeper might not have saved it anyway. It was the town players fault, sheer stupidity.
