Should be a win but this team have a yellow underside so expect going ahead and then lose again. Thats okay, Eddie has credit in the bank etc......

2-1 Palace

Newcastle take an early lead through Gordon, get bored, can't be ****ed, two older players legs go, Howe checks his notes and it reads "what do we have for dinner?" he scribbles different ideas down and looks solum as he forgot to get fresh groceries.

Looks up and we are 1-1, brings on Murphy but takes off 7ft 8 striker Woltemade, who mostly players in midfield anyway. After 20 minutes with zero threat, brings on Wissa, who is approx 2ft and sends him into the box for Murphy to smash cross after cross after cross aimlessly.

Palace walk through our dumbfounded defenders who have barely done anything all game and score an easy goal, right through the middle, no problem. 2-1.

We spend the next 10 minutes and over time playing down the wings, aimlessly lobbing balls into an empty box, getting frustrated at every single correct decision the referee makes and then lose the game.

Howe comes out, says it's been a bad day at the office, the players are amazing and he's decided he will order his dinner on JustEat.

Palace away is not going to be easy at all...

Well, us being **** means most games aren't.

We are genuinely very poor, we have spent so much money and look worse. It's Bruce season 2 level right now, we are bad at everything we attempt.

Been offered a ticket with some Palace fans in the home end, as it would be my first game of the season to attend I considered it, but **** that for a laugh rather stay home and wash the car.

Who will Howe pick at the back?...

I think he should get Pope back in goal btw.. Ramsdale really is a dreadful goalkeeper.

Admittedly, Tuchel and many other people involved in the game don't have your tactical nous, eye for a player or indeed your managerial success at the highest level. That said, they all seem to rate Ramsdale.

Let it all out why don't you

Had a good game vs Chelsea but vs Barcelona and Sunderland he was all over the shop.

Both keepers have a significant flaw.
He’s got no grip whatsoever everything bounces off of him……. And he’s a worse version of Pickford when it comes to little arms and wrists made of wafers.

Of the 9 goals we conceded in those two game I can't recall one where he's made a howler but feel free to watch those **** shows back and tell me if I'm wrong.

Opposed to Nick, "Can't catch, won't catch, must punch" Pope? Maybe I'm being harsh here but I'd say they are at worst on par with their handling ability, shot stopping, maybe you give it to Pope (not for me mind - again probably equal) but then Ramsdale is 1000% better with the ball at feet and building up play and playing balls our long/short.

He's useless man vs Barcelona in particular

Don't make me go back and watch those highlights again to run through all seven goals to prove you wrong man please! Give me an example of what you think he'd have done better with.

Ahhh Fcuk it....

1-0 - two players slip and Burn comes back to cover in front of Rambo, no challenge on the unmarked striker
2-1 - Burn drops off the FK to play all of the city of Barcelona on, header across the 6 yard box to an unmarked player for a tap in
3-2 - penalty, gets close but no cigar.
4-2 - Defence all at sea, left 1v1 and player slips it past him
5-2 - Lewandowski header from 2 yards out from a corner at the back post
6-2 - Lewandowski 1v1 from 8 yards out with only Thiaw in the box tracking back but still 10 ft from him - tbf this is probably the one he could have done better on but Lewandowski with a great fake to open up the far post.
7-2 - Ramsey with a great ball to Rafinha on the edge of the box with no CB in sight.

Not sure he could have done much with any of the above, but thank you, I now need to go and bleach my eyeballs.

That's all very interesting mate, but I never blamed him for any goal? Although he can make saves I suppose when the other team is in. Checked back and can't see anything anyway.

distribution was awful... Needs replacing and so does Pope... Both have significant flaws and are not good enough. That's probably why the club want Trafford or the other guy linked (can't recall his name)?

Yeah don't get me wrong I'd prefer Donnarumma ;)

Ok I get what your saying but how was he "useless" or "all over the shop" vs Barce if you weren't saying he was to blame for any of the goals. Add to that he made 6 saves in the game as well. His pass % was poor I'll concede on that.

Can't see us getting a better second choice keeper for the supposed £20m option agreement. Agree we need to replace Pope (and Rambo if the option isnt taken up). Maybe bring back Odysseas from Sevilla as back up to replace him.

Yep distribution wasn't great in a game we needed to keep the ball better, thats all..

I feel like Ramsdale is like me at golf.. There's always one part of his game isn't right that day..

I'm happy to concede my terminology was on the harsh side, but I'm sure we would agree he's not going to be good enough moving forward.
