Although I'm one for if you play well in the last game you deserve your place in the next but some of the players were missing should come straight back in due to their quality. The likes of Le Fee, Reinildo, Mukiele, Ballard and so on don't sit in the bench waiting for their chance
Spurs game next
Just booked my train tickets <cheers>

I know John Anderson tries to be straight in the middle but doubt he will call the club out in this
That's always been a difference between us and them. In the past when we had "issues" people like Benno, Gates, Rowell would speak out, the Echo would be critical, it would be talked about. With them, though, nowt. The racist abuse Benno got at Sid James in 1985 is never mentioned, just Beardsley's hat trick. Chucking Mars bars wrappers filled with concrete at Gazza when he came back with Spurs, played down as didn't really happen or was only a joke. Racially abusing Andy Cole's family in the stands at Sid James not mentioned. Smashing up the Bigg Market after losing the league never happened, the horse punch derby riot is now "just one idiot making a fool of himself" not what actually happened (and they'd downplay that if they could but there's too many photos and videos of it). There's plenty more examples of you look.

I'm old enough to remember Graham Courtney in tears crying "we've got to buy" after the mags got knocked out of the cup early on in the early 80s, the way John Gibson behaved at the north East footballer of the year awards in 1990, sycophantically hugging and kissing Micky Quinn and John Hendrie but almost sneering when Gordon Armstrong got the young player award. When you have people like that and Farrington, fat Dawn, Luke Edwards, Anal Lover, the Custis brothers, Simon Bird, Craig Hope, Shearer and Malcolm "superdrunk" Macdonald in the media, things won't change. They're so far up the mags arses they'll never criticise them, they'll constantly make excuses for them or ignore stuff that puts the mags in a bad light. John Anderson might be a good bloke, but he'll not break ranks and in the end this will get ignored by the media until it's blown over.

Well i have to say that has been an emotional day starting by dropping people off for the metro to get to the game and being quite jealous and angry that I wouldn't be there. Wasn't expecting much from the game if I'm being honest. Anyway I'm so proud of the lads each and everyone of them for the effort desire and shear determination to get something out of that game. I have to say that the tears flowed at the end of the game just so proud of the team, the management and our supporters absolutely top class. Everyone gave it their all including Luke after a shaky start. I'm sat here with a lovely large malt and still feeling bitter at missing that game because of a pathetic decision by someone who probably has no idea what this game means to us all. We will have to reflect on our memories of watching us stuff them on TV but its not quite the same as being there and feeling our joy and their despair. Anyway its done now but im so so proud of this team the manager and our unbelievable supporters. Haway the lads.
