The AFCON starts on Sunday and every game is on one of Channel 4's various channels.
It's also the first AFCON where every team is based in a 5 star hotel, apparently. That's nice.

Senegal started their game against Botswana with a midfield of Gueye and Gueye.
They then subbed off Ndiaye and brought Ndiaye on a little later.
Sarr was left on the bench but Sarr came on and got an assist.
Mendy kept a clean sheet in goal, but Mendy was an unused substitute.
They also left Ndiaye, Ndiaye, Mendy and Gueye out of their squad for the tournament.

A group of MPs have asked FIFA to expel the USA from the World Cup.
That's the World Cup that they're co-hosting.
Yeah, pretty sure that's not going to happen.

How do we get rid of Infantino, though?
The ****'s worse than Blatter and is only accelerating football's enshittification.

Senegal are the first team through to the 2026 AFCON final. No minutes for Sarr, again.
Morocco face Nigeria in the 2nd semi-final in about half an hour.
Edit: Morocco join Senegal after beating Nigeria on penalties. A couple of big saves by Bono.

Spence and Solanke named in the England squad.

Very flattering for the former imo.
Tuchel will be going off last England camp. Spence has done alright for England so lot surprised he’s still in the squad.

Apparently Solanke missed training with an hip issue. The guy is a right sicknote

But a vey useful sicknote, just like Darren Anderton

Another bloody international break interrupting the season at a crucial time :emoticon-0121-angry
I suppose when your team is really up against it, you can’t knock the chance to go three weeks unbeaten and concede no goals :emoticon-0125-mmm:
