Rupert Lowe is pond slime ffs, have a word with yourself. If I ever found myself agreeing with a single word that duplicitous ****weasel said, I’d book myself in for therapy - electric shock therapy probably.

Petrol retailers have pulled out of a govenrment meeting with Rachel Reeves, after what they call inflammatory language, which is leading to abuse of it's retail staff on forecourts.

Two dead...

BBC South East understands that a further 11 people from the Canterbury area are currently in hospital and reported to be seriously ill. It is understood that most are aged between 18 and 21 and are students at the university.

Would probably still vote for them if I was in a marginal seat they could win of the current options but they’re a joke.

I don't mind the Lib Dems and yeah he's a clown, but it gets the party attention. Sadly can't vote for him because of his EU views, otherwise would. Suppose it's like all parties, there will always be bits you don't agree with.

Although if it became between Farage and losing the NHS or voting Davey and going back in the EU, I'd have to bite the bullet and vote the latter. It won't come to that though, people are slowly seeing Farage is a dead duck.

Just my view of course.

I know you voted Brexit and I'm not here to berate you, but what benefits do you think we've seen from leaving the EU

Do you think we're still better off being outside of the EU ?

Genuine question.

They won my seat which is a straight shoot out between the Lib Dems and Tories.

Our local MP is actually pretty good, especially on local issues like housing, NHS and elder care services. Which is the stuff that affects people on a day to day basis

The Tory MP who had the seat before him was a Christian creationist who thought the world was made by God in 6 days and Gays and Children born out of wedlock should burn in the firey pits of Hell. He was also a Boris yes man and a pretty much useless as a local MP

It was never about benefits for me, ever. We live in a materialistic world, one that is constantly about consumerism and greed, one that has also become a dog eat dog world, where the mighty rule over the miniscule, and we'll pay the little ones to go away.

I've no problem with a Common Market but it should never of grown into what it become. In my eyes it's like a Hitler dream, controlling the whole of Europe and being ****s to the ones that don't play ball. Let's flood them with migrants because it's what they vote for.

One step away from being a Federation and every Federation currently is run by a ****ing lunatic. Trouble is that **** Trump has thrown a spanner in the works, because he's pushed us more towards unity with Europe and made us become more anti American.

I'm not even against Europe, we need to work together but it shouldn't have to be on EU/Brussels terms.

UK often leads the way in whatever we do, Ukraine being a prime example of that, it's not even our border, KS creates coalition of the willing, we were first on the front line in the Middle East, Israel, although dilly dallied around Iran - but who helps us the UK, where's the goodwill to our choices?

You can be sure of one thing in this world, if one of the lunatics does lash out, we will be first in the firing line, and I'm not confident that people will jump to our support in the same way, and the issue over migrants is just people like Tusk and Macron being ****s, they don't want to help us, because we dared to leave.

Sometimes in life not everything is about being better off, it helps yes, and there has to be a balance - Keir seems to be finding that balance and recognises the line, Rachel Reeves dosen't and I'd feed her to the ****ing wolves. But I'm happy to do business with our neighbours but they need to stop acting like Trump, bullying and chucking tariffs around if the UK choices are not liked.

In my eyes Trump and the Brussels powerhouse are one of the same when it comes to bullying and chucking tarrif blackmails about because they don't like UK choices - In fact the EU got a taste of it's own medicine from the Orange man.

You help us, we'll help you, but I shouldn't be made to pay a fee to a golf club that I no longer want to belong to - if you don't want me to use your bar as a consequence, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I don't expect something for nothing, but I don't respect being treated like a **** either. I would never freely choose to rejoin, but situations may force me to, there are lines in the sand with every political party for me.

Fair points.

It's not one I entirely agree with as I feel that as part of the EU we were much better off in terms of trade, ease of business, being able to negotiate trade deals as a bloc, grants for infrastructure projects, free movement and the ability to live and work in EU countries, shared scientific and security knowledge etc and I think we got more value from being in than being out.

But I also see the issues that you raise. A lot of those come down to individual personalities and their attitude and approach, rather than as a systemic problem as such imo.

I think the issue now is that Trump has basically said to everybody, unless you do what I want, you're my enemy. The UK is in a unique position here being out of the EU in that Starmer can negotiate with Trump on his own terms. The problem is that Trump is a petulant little man child who would think nothing of whacking another 50% tariffs on UK good and services if Starmer doesn't send the entire UK Navy fleet to the Straight of Hormuz.

I've no problem with free movement but sadly there is no one defined brexit that fits all, so I had to suck that up, in life you make decisions and can't have everything you may want. There never was going to be a one version to fit all, you just had to break the mould and start from there. Not ideal, but it never was going to be.

I will not lie though, I found it funny initially when Trump was being an arse to the EU, because I felt you are now getting a taste of your own medicine and how I felt they treated us, difference being someone else is the bigger bully beef now.

Your views and my views are completely different, there is nothing wrong in that, that's what politics should be about, we don't have to agree, it's about finding a balance, that sort of fits, but gives neither party everything they want.

Sadly the biggest hurdle for me is that powerhouse in Brussels, I'd joke I wish someone would....can't joke these days, I'd get arrested lol.

Happy to work with Macron, if he helps us with the migrants, I'm pretty flexible on any free movement and hand in hand partnership regarding business and goods, as long as he don't wear them shades again though, because he can be a bit of two faced ****, says he will help then take us for mugs...

I'm a reasonable guy if I see it works both ways, and I mean actually work, not us give you millions and you pretend to help. I just don't need the stamp of EU approval for anything, I hate them, probably as much as I hate the Iranian regime, yup that deep. The world is governed by ****s of all creeds (beliefs and aims).

Tbph I never ever expected to get my wish and was quite shocked when I did. Thought the dinosaurs are never going to win this vote...that changed to oh **** the next morning! <laugh>

Use to have some bantz with a guy I knew in real life, it was if you want to leave I'll give you why you should, if you want to stay, he's tell you why that's the best option. Two way street, how it should be.

Just remember to get out of bed to vote. <whistle> Sorry couldn't resist that.
