I like most things, travelled all over. Needs beaches, I like walking I also like lying around in the sun reading good books, nightlife but not too busy (old fart syndrome)

What about Madeira? It's got some class beaches. Walking ranges from a gentle stroll around the botanical gardens, up to a strenuous hike across the mountain peaks. Plenty of things to see and do if you want to get out and about. Loads of nice places to eat and drink and it's got old fart style nightlife! Definitely try the poncha - it's wonderful stuff!

Went with my daughter a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed it. I'd go again!

Tenerife is a good shout as long as you avoid the brits abroad crowd in Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.
Nice beaches, walks in the national park up to the volcano. The north of the island is different to the touristy south and quite tropical with banana trees. I stayed in Costa Adeje which at the time had some nice restaurants and bars but not as busy as the other resorts.
Book accommodation in 2 or 3 different locations or hire a car and get to see the whole island.

I've never been to Morocco so can't really advise.

As RTB says, the North of Tenerife has some stunning walking and relaxing places to stay.

I've heard really good things about La Gomera but that involves flight to Tenerife then a ferry over.

Off to Tenerife in August, this whole thread may be irrelevant as we had a huge argument yesterday, she asked me what I thought about her son, I gave my honest opinion, spoilt, ignorant, self entitled prick. (He is 28 going on 12) I ****ed off to a hotel last night. Well she can't accuse me of not being honest with her

We did Cayo Coco in Cuba about 10 years ago. Lovely beaches but bugger all to do. Wouldn't go back there but would love to go to Havana.
Havana was stunning

did a couple of tours of places were Castro and Che Guvera held meetings etc, was so interesting

spent more time in Varadero ( wish I did more days in Havana)
