It’s my favourite sport. I prefer it to football. Watched the Blue Jays 155 games last season. It’s not just a sport, it’s an event, you feel like you’re actually getting something out of it, not just fleeced.
I took my team to a Detroit Tigers game last year (we were already in Detroit for a work event). They where playing the White Sox.

It was a fun day out.

We didn't really know what was going on but we got pissed in the sun and cheered when everyone else did.

When I went across to America to see my family one of the nights out was to a Minor League game. I didn't find it too bad but the drinking in our seats won it over for me.

Went to watch the Red Sox play at Fenway Park.
Enjoyed the experience and the old stadium but found the game tedious tbh.
Dragged it out for about 4 hours and was still only one all when we gave it up.
Shame as I hoped I’d like it, but wasn’t for me.
(I’d been once before in Canada and had watched a bit on tv, so understood the basics at least, but still couldn’t get interested)

Different strokes and all that

*Highlight was having to prove my age to get a beer though…aged 56! <cheers>

Youre meant to use it as a social gathering
With a game taking place every now and again!

I love baseball, it's my favourite major league sport in the US. Been to Wrigley Field many times (the largest outdoor beer garden in the world is one name for it) and the games are, as you say, an event, before, during and after. Great stuff.
