I was an elbow away from a correct score. I seem to be one week ahead again in my predictions so with that in mind I will go 2-0.
I think the feeling from the brighton game largely evaporated at forest due to disappointment with a team that should have been more able to match up and very disappointing performances again from forwards and midfield.
The saving grace was decent but not outstanding defence.
West ham are not really going to kill us with superior fitness. We were ran off the park by forest.
They are not going to kill us on set piece.
But when you look over the course of the season we are not scoring enough and lately you know what? Ekitike hasn't scored enough when we need a finish. He can score a worldie but hes missed a lot with his head.
I think 2 goals is our limit And for me I'd like to see wirtz back at left wing and Szoboszlai at 10 with gakpo and jones firmly on the bench. It depends on Gomez and frimpong fitness though.
Gomez was launching throws way beyond the place the so called specialists are lobbing them. His throws are worth 20mil on their own! Get him in.

Defence is definitely going under the radar a bit, that's 3 clean sheets on the bounce and conceded just 3 in the last 6 which always helps (and this is where low numbers of goals scored still get you those points).
No Wirtz and Szob stuck at RB was an absolute disaster, and you're right - if we're going to give Ekitike all the praise in the world when he's on it, we need to acknowledge that he's barely been involved last few games and we can't have that.
They are young players so being consistent is a big challenge. Its the likes of salah and gakpo and jones who are not young players who need to be more consistent and deliver.
Kerkez is 22. He gets some right abuse.
Ekitike is 23. He is just starting out on his journey in a top league.
Wirtz is 22. An amazing player.
Gravenberch is only 23 his improvement is a credit to him and his experience in the league
Szoboszlai is now 25, he turned it this year. He has hit elite level massively this season, this is the level of consistency age, experience and games brings.
The defence with alisson, konate and vvd have stabilised things a bit but they still struggle without the others doing their bit. It was easier stand and defend v forest than it would be against city. The screen is still woeful, the tracking back sometimes hilarious.
But for West ham I just dont see it being a massive issue.
My consistent 3-0 prediction has seen me plummet down the table because the buggers keep messing around and doing it in the wrong competitions.

Maybe I'll take one for the team and change my prediction, then we'll win 3-0.
Not this time though, we ought to beat Wham anyway. Never certain of course, but I'll save my joker for later on in a trickier game.
Our 5 point moving average is 1.8 points per game. The 10 point version is 1.6 so we have "improved"
Against bottom half teams we have scored 23 and conceded 20. So overall its an awful record of 1.53 goals per game scored and 1.33 conceded.
The more recent form over last 5 bottom half games is not much better. A goal per game conceded and just over a goal per game scored. The tale is all about low goal scoring and that's not improving. The defence seems a little better.
At home we only do slightly better with 1.62 goals per game scored and 1.15 conceded.
If we want top 5 we need to win the home games (West ham, spurs, fulham, Palace, chelsea, brentford)
The defence needs to continue to improve but we must find a way to at least threaten to score a few
