Or let people buy them, they will be tourists/one time visitors. Crowd numbers will drop and in the end, it will balance back.
At Arsenal (and Chelsea) when they’re doing well there’s always going to be enough people even semi-regular attendees/season ticket holders who will do this kind of price for this sort of game. Northern clubs not so much and even at the big London clubs it’s the charging £75 for another home game against Villa/West Ham/Everton that rankles more than £100 for Barcelona in a European quarter-final.
Apparently there is a 7 year waiting list at the Goons for season tickets ...
I use to work with an Arsenal season ticket holder some years back, I think that rings true from memory of what I was told. There was also some problem getting the kids on it as well, can't remember what that bit was about.
I’m sure and probably longer than that if you want to be paying around a grand rather than £1500+ to be near the halfway line. £51 a game for the cheapest adult season ticket next season for the league games only. Not saying it’s good by any means but for the level and where they are it’s not completely taking the piss if there’s the option to not pay it in one go up front.
Basically double what I pay per game at QPR for approximately 47 times the quality.

Has become daft ... used to pay £2 to stand in the Kop at Filbert St in the 80s! - really couldn't justify the cost of going every week now (even if I had the appetite) - Tickets for Southampton at the weekend cost me £12 (brilliant)... but even with a coffin dodger railcard, the costs of parking at Oxford Station (and congestion charge), not to mention 120 mile round trip drive, plus food - you're looking at £100 for a day at the footie...

The hardest part now for UEFA is proving Gianluca Prestianni said what is alleged. It's not a good look him covering his mouth with his shirt, so he needs to tell everyone why he covered his mouth and what did he say if he said anything. UEFA are investigating it, but how the hell do you prove it and Benfica are backing their player and claiming the regret at defamation.
I don't have instagram, so can't look at the full content, but I did manage to drag this out of it...

“I wanna clarify that at no time did I direct racist insults to Real Madrid player Vinicius Jr — who has regrettably misunderstood what he thought heard from me”.
“I was never racist with anyone and I regret the threats I received from Real Madrid players”, Prestianni added.
Edit: had to edit that last line, for some reason it took out the bolded words, the two most important words, never and threats.
I don't have instagram, so can't look at the full content, but I did manage to drag this out of it...

It’s a balance of probabilities thing I’d have thought rather than a definite guilty/not guilty as it was with John Terry, the balding racist chav bastard with a brass for a mum.
Only one person knows for sure but they’ll err on the side of caution and come down hard I’m sure given it’s such a high profile situation.
Can you punish on a balance of probabilities, ie 10 match suspension for player, or suspend Benifica themselves from the competition. The next thing that would ensue is lawyers on behalf of the defendent and club... It's a minefield.
However, the pressure will now be to do something on the balance of probability, because if you don't then it makes a mockery of the kick out racism campaign.
Benfica will probably get a heavy fine for the crowd chucking stuff but don’t think there’s a racism allegation or anything too out the ordinary. Maybe a section closed off or even a game behind closed doors but doubt it.
Terry, Suarez and others have been banned. Would hardly ever happen if it was held to the same standard as a criminal case.
