His original comments were his usual nonsense off the cuff remarks.

Most of the time he gets away with it. This time he offended the wrong people and had to climb down.

I don't think anyone can honestly say the UK hasn't gone backwards over the last decade or so. We can argue till the cows come home as to why, but fact remains it's becoming a really poor place to live and being up a family ( imo ). I may be biased as I'm fortune to travel a hell of a lot with work. But the one think I see in the UK that I don't tend to see anywhere else, in fact I see the complete opposite....is the fact that success in the UK seems to be frowned upon and actually discouraged. People see others success and don't say " well done, id like some of that and how do I get it" it seems to be "look at that ****er, how can I take that from them" or things to that effect. The welfare system here is completely broken and encourages the wrong type of behaviour from lazy people and the even mildly successful people have to prop it up. The NHS is completely ****ed from complete and utter incompetence and miss management and instead of actually fixing it, all political parties use it as a political weapon. Immigration isn't working at all and as with the NHS it's just used instead of being fixed.

More and more money is taken of workers in the UK, given to people who do nothing to earn it and into political pockets. Unfortunately though I don't think we're anywhere near the bottom yet either.

Our country has the potential to be absolutely outstanding yet again, but unfortunately I don't think there will ever be the desire from those in the political parties to make it great.
The NHS is a cult. The pathetic pot-banging during lockdown was proof of that.

Reminds me of that Voltaire quote about how most states have an army but the Prussian Army has a state. Most states have a healthcare system but the NHS has a state.

Ric O'Shay, bomb disposal expert, with a finger in many pies. Some in Greggs, others in Cooplands, others in Bakers Oven, and all in shops on the Falls Road.
Sadly Ric (O'Shea) has committed far worse crimes than fingering the pies,I've eaten them all, from Paragon Station to Sandy Row...Now **** off,I'm engrossed in my Soap power hour:biggrin:

Your mum tells you not to hit your sister or she'll take your toy off you. You hit your sister. She takes your toy off you. You burst into tears and claim it's unfair as you didn't know hitting was wrong.

If I owe Trumpton an apology the that’s fine. He didn’t brag about kicking a copper.
He is still a silly old **** though.
As for you Peter, you need to give your head a shake. For some reason you are trying to justify something illegal.
I was reasonably trying to stop the police attacking a City fan for no reason. It worked. They turned their attention to something else.

No need to be rude Peter.
I'm not being rude.
You explained that you couldnt understand some very basic logic so I said I would try to make it as simple as possible.
You seem to be unable to even explain what it was that was difficult to understand.

It probably won't come as any surprise when I tell you he really isn't a 'silly old ****'! I've known him for many years, I'd vouch for the bloke 100% and I'm not sure why you've came to such a conclusion? He's one of the most caring, considerate and interesting people I've ever met and I've met many.

As for likening a police assault over here to being attacked in Belfast by a kid who was brought up to hate Brits,I really can't see the link, incidentally,my Brother in law was a Sergeant in the Siggies and had the same bricks thrown at him as you.
