You started your Rival watch thread in 2012, rivals being Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool Manchesters now its us West Ham, Palace, Forest and Burnley.. Oh mate
Spurs are really testing the ‘Big Six’ narrative after battling hard to get in there. Villa should really take their spot in this meaningless arbitrary club.

9-0 demon well and truly ****ing exercised @FosseFilberto

Best thing is we play them Saturday too, still fancy meeting? <laugh>

About half way home and adrenaline all over the place still. Brain absolutely ****ing scrambled.

Unbelievable.

Brilliant for you guys ... although not convinced the demons will be truly exercised until somebody scores 10 away from home in the Prem ...

... and to quote one of my favourite poems ...

"If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same ...

... you'll be a Man, my son"

So yes - would be great to meet up - think I've still got your number - unless you've changed it since the League Cup at ours?

Will let you know what hostelry we end up in as soon as we get there etc...

<ok>

Might have to quit my job and spend my day job hunting in Leicester.

Can't decide what's funnier, the fact they were singing 'we want 9' about an hour before FT or the fact they have to face up to us this weekend.

League game shouldn't deter the Cup support - FA Cup always had a special meaning - probably because nobody ever considered winning the league, but we had made it to 4 post war FA Cup finals - losing them all, - until finally winning it in 2021... but we'll see...

Blimey they might actually go down.

2 wins in the past 17 and 12 points gained in total in that time, is not just a slump.

In comparison, in the past 17 Forrest have won 6 for a total of 21 points.

Past 17 West Ham have won 5 for a total of 20 points.

They are in big trouble!

Calm down - we'll be just fine ...

... and ironically our biggest win in the Top flight was not the 9-0 at Southampton ...

You knew it had to be ...

10-0 at home to Portsmouth ...

...admittedly it was 1928 ... year my old girl was born ... finished second that year.

I assumed his post was about Spurs.

My bad if it was ... <laugh> we are currently just above the relegation zone by goal difference - and others have games in hand ...
You’ll scrape through I’m still confident. An awful lot of **** down there. Oxford are a bit better than they were but it’s a lot for them to make up. They’ve got two hard away games next but then West Brom and Blackburn at home where they really need two wins. Doubt they’ll get 45 points let alone 50.

The second half last night might make them realise King isn’t up to it and a serious manager is needed if only for the rest of the season. I don’t know what the contract situations are but your biggest risk is probably the older key players tossing it off if they aren’t having whoever is managing.

Bad news for you is we have Blackburn on Saturday.

I think you've got a very serious problem at the moment. Your GD gives a good indication of where you should probably be in the table, and that it's not that because of the 6 point deduction. However, what really is telling and has got worse since I last looked is the form table - you are 23rd and only have one point in six games if the table is correct and up to date. The six point deduction don't even come into that. As it currently stands you have a real threat of relegation, and the FA Cup exploits are not going to help that position.

Edit: and oh yeah, I hadn't even noticed others have games in hand on you, ouch.

It was about Spurs but I was aware of our worst defeat lol

Main problem has been defence and that we've had to play some very young players ... they've had a rough time and there have been many individual defensive errors that have cost goals and really damaged confidence ... but with Begovic coming in and with Harry Souttar and Victor Kristiansen both returning from injury and Lascelles is a fair signing so (hopefully) we'll be substantially more robust soon - and if we have that behind the forward threat we showed in the first half hour against Saints, we'll be fine...

If you’re relying on Begovic to be robust I rescind my earlier statement.
