And I bet all these clubs were saying, 'So it's Sunderland plus two other places to worry about' ...

... little did they know we had a hidden dagger to stab them in the back.

Ha'way man!

Thats tweet from the Burnley fan, I think you shared it?, proved that was everyone thinking we finished so many point behind Burnley and Leeds so already a huge gap so had no chance, trying to gel too many players etc... we were gone according to them and every pundit!

Also so those clubs thay usually avoid the drop or eveb the battle cause the 3 promoted are so ****!

Even more remarkable that Leeds and Burnley had much more time to start their planning ...

... ours didn't start until the last few minutes of the play-off final.

It's funny that Burnley fans are complaining about Sunderland's spending and wages as if we've somehow cheated <laugh>

Talking to my Burnley mates about that yesterday on a “work” call (aye right!! It was only so I could take the piss)

They knew we’d done it right and managed it right. Spent nothing to get promoted. They spent millions on players and wages after they went down. Meaning their past is shot. And ours is being managed fantastically well.

Canny lads the 3 of them I work with. And realistic too. They know they’re preparing for championship

Watching this relegation battle is great entertainment …

… Leeds, Forest, West Ham involved and all clubs I’d love to see go down.
I'm a bit torn on this as like you I don't really like any of them:

Forest I'm totally meh about - Leeds, I lived and worked there for many years and have some good mates who are Leeds fans and with them only coming up last year I think I'd prefer them to stay up - West Ham are a bunch of self entitled anchors with a W so seeing them fall would be highly amusing, but I also need to throw Palace in to the mix as I also lived and worked in Croydon for a time and there is not a more depressing or dangerous place on the planet, so if we never had to play them again it would not upset me in the slightest!!

Nice one mate, I'd probably pick West Ham if I had to choose ...

... awful stadium, awful area and the supporters are arrogant beyond belief, not to mention the stupid bubbles.

I actually felt a sense of relief when Man United equalised last night.

I know it isn’t really logical, but the ingrained trauma of the last 20 years will mean I won’t feel completely comfortably until we’re mathematically clear.

Spurs are in real real bother though. It would be an incredible spectacle if they went down.
Hoddle and Spurs celebrating like they'd won promotion ...

... great day to be at Mansfield.

40 points and we can relax :-)
