Whilst it will obviously irritate a few on here - me, and the vast majority of Leicester fans, will happily accept the 6 point deduction - we broke 'the rules' as they stand / are drafted and should therefore be punished (whether the punishment is equitable or not is outside the scope of this eloquently drafted missive)... and if we get relegated because of that points deduction, it's because we are not very good - not because of the deduction itself.

Accepting the punishment does not mean that I think the PSR / FFP rules are fit for purpose, fair, or well thought out.

Some spreadsheet jockey has arrived at some arbitrary financial measurements / parameters that do nothing to safeguard the existence / financial health of the vast majority of English (Welsh) football clubs - certainly not those in the top two divisions.

By not factoring in the wealth of owners and possibilities for parental guarantees / bonds etc when determining financial health and investment potential and by limiting any investment by reference to income statement (p&l) rather than balance sheet - the whole concept is fundamentally flawed and, whether by design or unfortunate consequence, limits true and unrestricted competitivenes, the leveling of the playing field, and the opportunities for the growth of most clubs outside of the established elite.

Think for a moment - what if PSR / FFP had existed at the very start of the Premier League era?... Jack Walker would not have been able to break the British transfer record for Alan Shearer - buy Sutton, Batty, Le Saux etc or attract Kenny Dalgleish to be manager... well not without that open chequebook ...

Chelsea and Citeh's billionaire owners would have been limited to spending at equivalent levels to which Villa and Newcastle are able to now ... and would almost certainly have had the same number of Prem titles - none.

Suffice to say - Leicester City's 'perfect storm' season aside ... we'd now be looking at only 3 teams having ever won the Premier League during its history, United, Arsenal and (the much later to the party) Liverpool. Spurs would have been able to spend similarly ... but it's Spurs ...<whistle>

Now the biggest irony is that those 3 elite clubs are only able to spend at the levels they now can due to incredibly successful histories... histories built on a bedrock of unrestricted spending over decades that gave them a distinct advantage over most ...

PSR / FFP is seeking to keep it a 3 way match - if Citeh and Chelsea are sanctioned and put back in their places then the future of the Prem is pretty bleak - the established 3 (4) able to purchase from player block A - everybody else from block B and below ...

A future which is great for the 'plastic' armchair fans who choose their team(s) by reference to current success - but pretty depressing for those fans with a genuine historical or geographical heritage association for their particular club, knowing you are never going to be able to compete because some ****ing accountant has managed to limit your club's potential and ensure the big shiny cups and Champions League opportunities are heavily weighted towards the usual suspects ...

I won’t pay a penny more than £7.50.

My local Sam Smiths in deepest darkest Sheffield charges £4.00 for a larger.

I remember the same pub chain charging £1.12 for a pint in the city centre when I was a student.

You had to worry about the Luftwaffe though

Always been a mad quirk.

There's an old pub in Manchester, centuries old, used to be on Shambles square but they moved and rebuilt it after the bomb.

It's in an absolute prime time location, centre of town, called Sinclairs Oyster bar.

It's a Sam Smiths pub, the beer is the cheapest in town. Pish pretty much, but cheap as ****.

There's also one down the bay in Cardiff, proper ****hole, where the same rules apply.

The weird no phones, music, swearing rules do catch some people out.

But some great old fellas in my local Sam Smiths and are good for a laugh/chat

Another glorious pick from our Sky overlords entertaining the nation with a second division extravaganza.

Carnage getting in with trains cancelled and jobsworth stewards so missed the first few minutes which was probably the highlight. Now in an Uber because the queues for the train were like Saigon.

Sure mate <laugh>

Blackburn won the league with the most expensively assembled squad in the league that season ffs!!! ... if PSR / FFP had existed then, their 'fairytale' could never have happened <laugh>...plucked relatively unknown Alan Shearer from Blythe Spartans they did!!!

What Wimbledon did was great - but for me (and likely many others), Sunderland beating Don Revie's all conquering Leeds United in the 1972 final was way more impressive...

All about opinions - we 'cheated' by winning the Premier League with a squad costing less than £30 million ... naughty, naughty, Leicester City ...

You'll remember us negatively for sure - but that's got way more to do with you being a bit of a bell end... and to being so so easily wound up by one particular Leicester fan <whistle>
You constantly bang on about money, yet you have now had three misdemeanours involving overspending . If you want to say that Blackburn wouldn’t have won the PL if PSR was about, then you shouldn’t have even been in the PL if instead of paying a fine, you were held to proper account. Whilst you may not have paid huge amounts in transfer fees, you paid big salaries which is why you are in the financial mess you now see yourself in.
As for the personal insults calling me a bell end, I’ve again wound you up in 4 posts, which suggests you are more wound up than me. I knew you would bite, so it’s not really that much of a challenge. You really do need to get over yourself.
And as for my negativity towards Leicester, you couldn’t be further from the truth if you tried. One day I may explain why that is but in the meantime winding you up, so easily I add, is more fun.
I eagerly await another tantrum and more insults directed to me. However, my work is now done on this occasion and I’ve a flight to catch.

They needed to play DeMarco more often.
