Looks like West Ham are strengthening again, the Chelsea CB we were linked with (by Ell - can’t spell his name) about to join them on loan according to Alex Crook on talkSPORT.
 
Palace paying £48m for JSL is insane, but it shows their desperation to survive ... Wolves paid £22m for him 18 months ago, so not sure how he's now at this valuation, especially considering his dreadful season thus far

Sham and Forest also spending heavily but not sure they are actually improving

Any one of these three go down with Burnley & Wolves and they will be fkd financially

Palace have the added predicament that Mateta has failed his medical for AC Milan move, so that's £40m income gone ... this adds even more pressure to them surviving ... any other club making a move for Mateta will now go in with a much lower figure, or even just a loan move ... Palace will find it hard to refuse lower offers, they need to get Mateta's wages gone and try and get some cash as well

Wolves spending £9m on Adam Armstrong from Saints is also baffling, he's not going to get them 20 goals next season in a promotion push ... if they don't come straight back up they will be in terrible trouble

January window once again underlines how stupid clubs can be with their money ... even Liverpool going big, signing Jaquet from Rennes for £60m but only taking him end of season ... he's 20 and a "potentially good" player, but he's definitely not worth £60m, maybe £20m tops ... Pool panicked and put a stupid pile of cash on the table to beat Chelsea to the punch ... utter madness

With JSL gone now, not sure if Leeds will spend the £35m they have available

I just wanted a new face I still cant believe we haven't used our other loan option. Just even for cover. Don't even know anymore if the deadline stops loans.
Can't see any signings now with a hour to go when we've had a month or so to think about who we are after if anyone at all.

A player I can’t remember anyone on this forum mention ever, so what exactly have we missed out on?
