Only joshing of course :emoticon-0125-mmm: As an engineer, I admire that bridge <ok>
Which bridge, the longest and widest swing bridge in the country, the first ferro-concrete bridge, the Scale Lane swing bridge which you can stay on when it opens and closes, or that largish one spanning the Humber? :emoticon-0138-think

I was referring to the big impressive looking one over the Humber.

Truth be told I'm just an electrical engineer, not a structural one. Though I did have some Meccano as a kid...

Ull will be looking for an away win today, they need three points against teams like this if they are to sustain the promotion push.

A nice day out for @TwoWrights, always liked Bleakburn <whistle>

My away days are done, aside from Wembley (as if), I really enjoyed them but don't particularly miss getting up at stupid o'clock and driving a bunch of pissheads all over the country. As for Blackburn, if you can't find somewhere decent in our towns and cities your not looking hard enough. :emoticon-0138-think

When we go 3-0 down I’ll turn over and watch my second favourite team :emoticon-0148-yes:
There's nowt like optimism, and that's nowt like it. The hardy band of travellers that watch away defeat after away defeat sometimes get their unexpected reward, today could be their day. :emoticon-0138-think

I've never been to the Kingston Communications stadium. I've been to the old Boothferry Park quite a lot about 60 years ago. My mother was from Hessle, just outside Hull. I remember the ground had its own railway station attached to it. I remember seeing the famous front 5. Wagstaff, Chilton, Butler, Houghton and Henderson. At the time Hull were a very attack minded side. Most late summer we would spend a couple of weeks in Hessle, when all my mates in Lewisham were off to rather more exciting places for their holidays! I haven't been back for a few years now as my only remaining relative lives at Gilberdyke at bit further from the centre.

As I say to my granddaughter when I turn out to be correct after she tries telling me different, 'listen to granddad'. Our win was a typical grind it out one. :emoticon-0103-cool:

I heard some talk on the radio today that pseudo-intellectual types (Mundell springs to mind) give Hull no chance of staying in the play-off places.
Why?
Because their xG is apparently so poor <doh>

Which goes a long way to debunking xG as a load of old Cobblers.
Leicester’s Xg today 1.92

Our Xg today 1.4

Result 2-0 to us.

Need we say more ?
