There definitely should be a points deduction.



For Watford.

Their players going over and clapping their fans, essentially declaring the game postponed, before the official stadium announcement, could have caused a riot.

Shockingly irresponsible.

If it had kicked off on the concourses as a result there'd have been crumble and custard everywhere.

Are you not a little bit confused as to why that Technical area was in such a state? It is either intentional or gross incompetence, either way it is not a good look. I could have sympathy if it was a sudden downpoor that caused it but we were discussing the chances of it being off the day before because things were so bad. Any normal club would have had people who know what they are doing making the call in the morning, like Sheff United and Doncaster did. Instead we had some blokes with blow torches being ridiculed by the likes of Talksport on social media.

And then to top it off we had concourses full of people spending money finding out via Social Media that the game was off. I guess that didnt bother you not actually being at the game.

So yeah, I am suspicious as to why we made such a cock up of things when it didnt need to be that way, and that is not ridiculous.

To be honest I don’t care if it saved us putting out a much weaker side than we’d like to I’ll live with it - and I was sat there at 2-45 . I hope we can get a better side out in the rearranged one . I’m sorry for those who spent a fair bit of money and time , I’ve done that watching City over the years when games have been cancelled at lunchtime or an hour before so it happens . I’m pretty sure there was some inept action or lack of it . On a similar note we pay the council gritters a fortune to grit the roads - but the do it by forecasted operators even if it’s early November and there is no moisture in the air to freeze !

Well, it is what it is. I for one was pissed off when it was called off so late, and really felt for the small band of Watford fans that made the trip. The probability is the girls that have been on here blubbering about the postponement don’t even attend vicarage rd, never mind travelling to the frozen North.

If they just wanted to postpone the fixture, I'm sure there could have been a 'problem' with the undersoil heating in the run up to the game and they'd have made an early call.

They wouldn't deliberately lose tens of thousands paying security, stewarding, catering etc to call it off with 15 mins to go in front of a full stadium and the media.

The problem is that the undersoil hearing doesn't extend to the 3g matting and as the pitch has thawed it's soaked up the run off and frozen on the perimeter.

And even if they could thaw it out, it'd freeze again as soon as it did with the temps being -2.

It's sheer incompetence as it should have been foreseeable, but we are where we are.

Doubt the owner is too chuffed flying in from Turkey in a private jet for no good reason. If anyone has lost a lot of money due to this it's the owner.

There really needs to be someone on the ground who can make executive decisions. But due to the unique way the club is governed that's clearly not the case.

-2C is nothing to a little salt. What really gets me is that Hull City's safety officer could have very easily ordered the technical area to be tarped over and be placed out of bounds, there is nothing in the rules that says a line official can't encroach on the pitch.

Just so you know. Collusion between Hull FC officials and/or staff to deliberately have the game postponed unnecessarily would be considered a criminal offence, maximum penalty 10 years imprisonment.
