Hopefully a better away end than it was yesterday which was comfortably the worst of the season

Don't think the stadium as stunning as it is makes for a very good atmosphere.
Agree. I was glad I went,as it was a new stadium for us.......very impressive,I've got to say.....but,felt the atmosphere was a little muted at times. Wouldn't be my favourite to go every week, unless you were winning everything of course!

I`ve seen a few people comment on the atmosphere in the away end - my thoughts

1. There are simply no pubs nearby that allow away fans in - that always has an impact on atmosphere - the more pints sunk the rowdier we all get...
2. The home fans were ridiculously quiet - much worse than Anfield...I guess (from talking to a few Spurs on the way out) that they are all disheartened by their season.
3. The home fans were quiet because they invite about 1,000 "visitor" supporters from overseas - probably necessary to "build the brand" but they won`t understand English football etiquette (i.e. hurling abuse at the opposition if warmly to be encouraged!).
4. The Spurs fans have no songs - literally "Come On You Spurs" and only when encouraged by the signs around the ground...
5. There did seem to be a fair few "Sunderland visitors" at the match as well - fair few in the section I was in were clearly London based SAFC with a wife/girlfriend in tow.
6. Our performance in the 1st half gave little to cheer about...maybe if there had been more noise then the performance might have picked up but I doubt it...

Looking forward to Arsenal though...
