Kind of reminded me of Colchester away in about 2004...Heading towards ground with a few faces making their way from the ground towards a pub....Got to say I thought 30 mins was leaving it late to call that off....15 mins must be the new record.

Briefly chatted to a group of four Watford, one of whom had travelled yesterday from the Norwich area and stayed over...Seriously pissed off by the events. Advised them to contact EFL to enquire about a refund then thought.. No ferking chance...That's never going to happen.

In every game there's a danger to the safety of the players from the advertising boards. Arguably that's more dangerous than today's frozen area in front of the benches.

Watford claiming they wanted the game to go ahead isn’t the flex they think it is. If what they claim is true then they were willing to risk the safety of their players rather than have the inconvenience of a postponement, pretty ****ty conduct really.

This drama between clubs whenever a game is postponed seems to be fairly common now since it happened a lot during Covid. It's not very dignified is it.

Its not, fans are owed a full explanation to be honest.

There's a lot of money been spent and days wasted. We deserve to know the truth. Feel like the ref should be compelled to produce a public match report as to what happened.

I'm pretty sure both clubs would have wanted the game to go ahead
it isn't their decision though

Of course all parties wanted the game to go ahead, but if they still wanted it to go ahead once they had information that it could be dangerous then that’s where they’re in the wrong.

The first inkling what anyone have that the game was called of was when the Watford player's went and clapped there owen fan's.

Coinsidense?? I not think.

Why can't the eltons bumboys see this.

Its a hornets nest.

As a complete side-issue to today's mess, why do Watford feel the need to travel in two team coaches? What a waste. Many times I've seen teams bring along a minibus with kit/balls or whatever but never two coaches.

Agreed. Fans of both teams deserve to know how and why the decision was made to call off the game. Clubs putting out their own contradictory public statements creates more drama.

Led by the entitled social media generation all desperate for an argument and "likes". One seems to have escaped onto here as well.

I think that Sergei is quite happy now that the game is to be re arranged when we might have a few players back . To be honest even though I gig there I’m a bit relieved that we may have a better opportunity - my biggest issue was returning home to virtual house clearance. She was on one !

Not a chance Acun is dropping 30K on a private charter and wasting a day of his life traveling to keep up the appearance we wanted the game to go ahead.

The manager and team are not going to want the fixture congestion either. And although we do currently have a few injuries, we have had a worse injury crisis already this season and it’s just as likely we could have worse injuries for the rearranged fixture as not. It does not make any logical sense.

I’ve looked on the Watford forum and it’s pretty clear we were terrified of them and their inevitable march to the premier league.

Sanctions should range from them being awarded a 3-0 win, to us been expelled from the football league.

Under no circumstances is their club statement bollocks, and the decision to postpone was entirely ours and not the referee’s.
