See the bit about RL . Under new boss Michael Appleton, Portsmouth have just recorded back-to-back wins against Coventry and Burnley. Conversely, Saints are in the grip of their worst run this season - with striker Rickie Lambert claiming sides have now worked out how to play against them. Where has he said this ? ( if he said it at all ) . Or are they stirring it up ?
He was reported to have said this after the Blackpool game. It is now late afternoon here and I have been listening to 5live for several hours via the internet and while they have mentioned the four premier league matches being played today on numerous occasions. So far not once has the south's biggest derby been mentioned once. The ironic thing being they are mentioning games that will be shown on sky and not mentioning the game their own station is covering.
Away from home I would agree, but how come we keep winning at home if they've sussed us. I've ignored the Blackpool game because I'm sure we would have gone on to win that game if the whole match hadn't been turned on its head by their second goal. Most teams do better at home than away but not by the margin we manage...today would be a good time for us to work that out.
You must have dozed off for a while as they did a short piece with contributions from Dave Merrington and someone of whom I have never heard with PFC connections. Needless to say you did not miss a single thing of any significance. Timewise it was probably about 6.30 GMT but as I was only half awake listening to the radio in bed I can't be sure of the time. When you're as old as me it takes a long time to wake up and then to get up in the morning and even longer to go to sleep at night. The lovely mrs Godders says I would sleep better if I had a clear conscience!
