Dragusin, Kulusevski, Maddison and Solanke are all long-term injured. Bissouma and Sarr are at AFCON.
Udogie is out until next month. No new updates on any other injuries.
Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs:
Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Gray; Kudus, Simons, Kolo Muani; Richarlison.
Subs: Kinsky, Danso, Davies, Palhinha, Bergvall, Sarr, Johnson, Odobert, Tel.
League form: DLLDWL.

Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Konate, van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Jones; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Wirtz; Ekitike.
Subs: Mamardashvili, Ramsey, Lucky, Robertson, Salah, Chiesa, Ngumoha, Isak. Only named 8.

How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?

cheapest seats available are £80 plus ... there are thousands up for sale...cost rather than form is preventing a lot of us from going.
I’ve been saying for a couple years now that this was going to happen. The novelty of the stadium has much worn off now, the form of the team over roughly 6 years has been far more negative than positive, the atmosphere is arguably one of the worst in the league and yet Tottenham for the most part have raised prices during these periods. People aren’t going to pay premium pricing for a poor product, not in football or any walk of life.

At least AfCON has been kind to us for a change. Because you could be sure that given his recent fallout with the club, Dr Tottenham would have ensured that Salah scored. Now all we have to worry about is the 11 that play.

£80 for a home league game regardless of form is ridiculous.

Maybe I’m just tight but they should cost a maximum of half that imo. Clubs get millions through sponsors and tv that they don’t need to rip fans off for a little extra money in the scheme of things.
Uli Hoeness was right. Talking about season tickets at Bayern, he said:
"We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300.
We'd get £2m more in income, but what's £2m to us?
In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes.
But the difference between £104 and £300 to the fan is huge.

We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk.
Football has got to be for everybody.
That's the biggest difference between us and England."

He made that statement in 2013 and was jailed for massive tax evasion a year later! <laugh>
Still had a point, though.
Bundesliga season tickets are still dirt cheap. This is each club's cheapest:

Exactly how it should be too.

The only problem is that nobody ever gives up their season tickets.
Clubs have had to abandon waiting lists, as they don't move. Single digits every year.
When clubs have waiting lists to get onto the waiting list it's obvious there's a problem there

Which the Glazers preyed upon, as there was an army of people ready to replace anyone giving up their season ticket in protest to their takeover

Didn't even work when the Norwich scarves said they'd go but not buy food or drink, as the Glazers could point Old Trafford being sold out so obviously they were doing a good job

Sadly I’m probably done with the category A games for a while I think. The seat I am in for Sunderland is nearly half the price of the same seat today!

Hopefully there is a full house at the Villa game with a good atmosphere so they can see what can be done when they price things more reasonably.

Fingers crossed this is a wake up call for the higher ups as without Son or any kind of success, even the tourist market will not be buying.

How many ST holders actually personally use their tickets for more than say 75-80% of matches?
If a lower limit of personal use was brought in (with photo ID at the gate) and you had to be present for that number of games, would that deter some from just holding on to the ST place?

*Yes I do realise their may be legal aspects to consider and frankly I haven't thought it though to any depth, but still.... <laugh>

That's what the German clubs have done, IIRC. Use it or lose it.

When you think of how things could go this evening, you just know that the Wirtz will happen.... <laugh>

Goalless since joining them...it's a sure fire thing that everything will change for him in N17 <doh>

The Bundesliga AFAIK has never had the massive
wage inflation for mediocre players that has been
a consequence of decades of the PL.
