Habib Diarra set to be involved in the Sunderland squad to face Brighton on Saturday.
All going well the Senegal international will then travel to join up with his international teammates at AFCON.
❌ #SAFC already missing Reinildo, Sadiki, Talbi, Traore & Masuaku due to AFCON

RLB:
Diarra and Adingra are still with us.
We have no injuries, the team will be a bit different but the other players will have an opportunity during this period
The players have been patient but now they have the opportunity to play.
We have tough challenges ahead, it is is really clear with Brighton then Leeds, we have to fight for every point.
They are a good side, a strong side, with many individual and collective threats, impressive in possession, strong pressing team, an exciting challenge. We will see if Tommy Watson is involved.
We managed the situation properly, the staff and the player, with the late goal in the final it showed that we managed it well.
I didn't set any limits at the start of the season, we will see during the festive period how we perform.
It is better to start games with a high level of confidence.
Wayne Rooney said you were the best manager in the PL so far - he won, it was a tough game, we struggled in the second half, happy for the club and his statement.
After the derby Xhaka said that it was the first time that he saw you showing emotion, yes we shared the joy of going around the stadium, it was really impressive. You just have to enjoy it.
So far we are doing well, but always a new story, we are excited at this period, we have the right level of desire and ambition, We love new challenges especially when they are tough.
We need to be ready to go again. It was important (derby win) but it's only 3 points.
We knew this period will come, we trust the players who will be involved. We showed good maturity, we are in a good place.
