Well, a win is a win. Not great, not dissimilar to the last Fulham game. Still not seeing any real identity or attacking plan. All the wingers are still playing between poor and gash. Stikers still isolated. Howe persevering with a horrible 4-5-1 formation.

Not sure what we're supposed to be these days.

At the risk of sounding like a negative lunatic, it's great that we are through but I'm seeing the same old problems. I fear nothing has been learnt.

We still just fart around in front of goal not taking enough shots, some of our forward play is just bottom half prem level at best.

Tonali and Miley were fantastic today, Bruno continues to be our best player and Wissa looks promising. But until we take the stabilizers off and let these players express themselves - we will still lose consistently away from home.

The defence is starting to concern me, they were one impenetrable, now I expect them to concede a ridiculous goals every game.

The side that finished the game was actually quite impressive, so we won't be seeing it again.

That's a league game comment, cup game and we won this one and it doesn't matter how.

Realistic. If it went to penalties you’d moan about our penalty taker being on the bench

Its depressing that at home against Fulham we have to bring on one of our most expensive and best players as an 85th minute sub, because we seemed incapable of scoring a goal and he's one of the few that can score a penalty.

We could have just averaged more than a shot every 30 minutes and scored a ****ing goal in open play.

I tend to just think that a game is a game and if we are **** against Sunderland, below par against Fulham with the same problems in both games - we have a problem.

Barnes and Gordon 50-50 for form really and can’t say Elanga would be in anyone’s first choice lineup. Probably 50-50 Ramsay and Willock on today’s showing. Woltemade v Wissa?

I think the entire attacking system doesn't work well and I put more blame on Isak being sold - albeit that really isn't the clubs fault.

You don't take out a world class striker like Isak and not see a massive massive drop in quality.

We need to change our attacking play style.

A team most of us support through thick and thin.

I actually think ramsay played well tonight...overall that wasn't a great performance, but a win and Howe finally influenced the game positively with his changes.

Unfortunately it's the away form that kills the season..

Probably right yes. Be interesting to see more from Wissa. Love to see Woltemade with him.

Feel sorry for Ramsdale. Feel he's let in a goal every game and not a single one is his fault

Last game our own striker scored against the poor ****
