Take emotion out off it and use NET values rather than Gross and then also take into account 5 of those players that £650m was spent on are no longer at the club. For the record that's Isak, Minteh, Vlachidimos and Wood, Kelly (assuming I haven't forgot anyone).
Now take into account

£35m for Minteh
£35m for Anderson
£17m for Wood
£15m for Shelvey
£15m for Miggy
£25m for Maxi
£15m for Longstaff
£3m for Dubravka
£20m Kelly
You're £650m spent argument is really a £330m spent argument.
So £330m over 4 years - £82.5m per season.
In contrast Sunderland's NET spend is £136m this season.
You also need to bear in mind the players we've had to get rid of for almost nothing...... Gayle, Lewis, Hayden, Fraser, Wilson, Darlow, Woodman, Manquillo, Hendrick, Clark, Fernandez, Kelly, Ritche, Karius, Dummet.
and bear in mind we lost Lejune, Muto, Carrol, Atsu and Matty Longstaff earlier that summer.

CC will claim it's censoring a dissenter but as someone who also leans on the pessimistic side, this collection of outbursts have been completely unhinged.
People have been banned from the prem board for the exact same reason before, when it's clear someone simply cannot handle banter and they become manlc.

I think some people put too much pride into the fact they never just turn the match off.
For me, when I feel myself getting ****ing furious and it's killing the entire vibe or potentially going to ruin my day - I walk away from the game. I do something else.
