There have been so many problems within the club that are going to take time to sort. Last season I said that I wanted us to give Ange time and used Burkingshaw to illustrate why. We are chewing up and spitting out managers at a stupid rate.
Since we sacked Pochettino in 2019 only Ange has managed us for a complete season.
Since Jol was sacked in 2007 only Redknapp, Poch and Ange have lasted 2 seasons.
Because of this stupid turn over of managers we have wasted hundreds of millions on players that a manager demanded only for them to be sacked and the following manager not wanting them.
I suspect that because managers get so little time they won't risk starting academy players.
Burkingshaw took 6 years to build a winning team. We were mid table in his first, relegated in his second, just scraped promotion in his third, beaten 5-0 at home to arsenal and 7-0 away to liverpool and finished in lower mid table in his fourth, took 2 games to beat non league Altringham and finished mid table in his 5 before finishing mid table and winning the FA Cup ( where we were drawn against 3 lower league teams and needed replays in the 3rd round, semi final and final) in his sixth season.

It was after this that we consistently play beautiful football and became a fabulous team.

We sacked Ange after he won our first tropy in nearly 2 decades and our first European title in over 4 decades because of our league form...until we give a manager time we will remain a basket case of a club

Agreed but I am of the opinion that Frank is that man. Who is? No idea just my instincts tell me this will not end well..

3-0 FT. Awful.
Forest's biggest win against us since 1987, according to the BBC.
Just didn't look at it at all and the subs made us worse, if anything.

I’m still firmly in the ‘give him time’ camp but I don’t think I could have any complaints if they did decide they’d made another mistake with this appointment and got rid tomorrow.

That was truly shocking today. Not one positive to take.

Ange is/ was pure ****e though, mate.

I do find it quite ironic and funny though that one of the worst managers I’ve seen at the club ended our trophy hoodoo. But as he showed at Forest, he’s so out of his depth at management at this level, it was right to sack him, even if somewhat morally questionable after the trophy success.

I think the problem for this club is that demands from fans are now so high due to how they financially exploit us that whoever they hire needs to immediately hit the ground running and polish a few turds along the way. Three managers have managed it in my life time in Jol, Redknapp and Poch. I thought Frank would’ve been doing a lot better than he has, I think he still has time but some of our displays under him are as bad, if not worse than some of Ange’s, he’s walking a fine line at the moment.

Spurs are mid table which unfortunately is where they should be imo

I know some rate this squad but put it man to man against others and you can see how bang average it is. Mid table obscurity is probably about right unfortunately

It aint gonna end well...I think it was classless to sack ange but am in a minority of fans...unless we let someone build a team this tedious football will continue. Frank has players signed by Ange, Conte, Pochettino And Nuno...thats simply moronic

We are exactly where I expected us to be.

As I listed a few weeks ago, we have no more than 6-7 genuinely good players in the squad and three of them haven't played all season.

The rest is a mix of youngsters with as of yet unrealised potential, and a group of truly awful players who represent the chronic lack of ambition at the heart of this club for years.

Changing the manager won't make an iota of difference. We'd get a nice little bounce, maybe play well for a few months, then it will revert to type with a crash.

Levy's negligence needs to be ripped out root and branch, starting in January.

It will happen quicker than we think if this continues.

As @KingHotspur pointed out the squad is simply not good enough, put together with what looks like zero planning we have the current mess.

I can live with it though as it'll take a few years in my opinion to resolve, but what I find hard to put up with is what looks like a lack of fight in those players that are there.

That performance today was just not acceptable for me and any comments from the management to the contrary will not go down well.
