This is England 90, some unbelievable telly. The Sunday dinner scene is a master class of actin
Years since I watched it but the TV series blows the film out the water for me! The film was very good the series was just absolutely top class!

Shane Meadows is probably best director at portraying normal UK loves and problems, his films are all class but in this series having the time to really develop and push the characters. Stephen Graham in his final scene for me was the stand out moment!
Meadows needs to get somemore stuff out. I'd love a This is England 2000. Like a 10 years later. I'd watch Stephen Gram do the dishes, great actor.

Thsnks mate im enjoying it and the wife too and she has little interest in footy.

The footy side lacks realism for the UK audiences that actually know anything about football!

But it was aimed at Americans who know little about it.

Its got plenty funny bits and characters you like and dislike. It is also a feel good comedy, seen it praised alot for the positive messages about self development, second chances etc...

Without any spoilers when the last series ended it was finished and they weren't going to make anymore, but it was so popular they are filming a new one now.

Just been watching a few things on BBC recently.

The night manager, which is a few years old but started to be pushed agaun as they are making a new series. Some great actors in it and its a decent enough spy thriller but not sure if it was one thag should have ended there.

Watched a BBC "comedy" where the pe teacher gets frozen in the mountains and is found and brought back 50 years later or whatever it is! Its **** no idea why I've watched them all

Currently watching Daddy Issues another comedy on there. This ones actually all right quite funny!

Ok. Never heard of it.

Hill street blues. Bloody hell i can vaguely remember that. No idea if i liked it or not.

Only fools and horses. Excellent. I often have a beer with the lad who played Mickey Pierce
Hill street Blues changed tv forever. The way it was filmed (moving camera)the script and the story arcs spreading over several episodes it was literally magnificent.

Oldman plays the part to perfection outstanding performance just glad i saw the recommendation on here to watch it,that’s usually how I end up watching these shows
I chucked a recommendation on here a while ago, few others have since, seems folk on here have high standards of nightly viewing. I truly believe the direction told Oldman "do what you want,Gaz". I think the Brosnan done the same in Monland.

I always thought it was funny in Auf Pet when Dennis told Norma his son wanted it recording.
