With no Gelhardt, Belloumi needs 90 minutes in him. Ideally Millar starts too. For me, Joseph should start up front with hopefully McBurnie coming on as a sub in the second half. I'd give Gyabi a go in the ten spot, or Joseph behind Destan if needs be. Crooks and Hadziahmetavic to sit deeper, CB pairing of any of them providing they're not going to consistently give the ball away.

Gyabi has been a passenger in every appearance I’ve seen of his so far this season, start or sub.

Even when he scored?

Well **** it then, let's just do what we did on Friday night and field the same midfield trio and not expect the same to happen.

Gyabi looks like a signing that we didn't have to pay a fee for. He is what he is. A squad player, who at his age has time on his side to become more than that. If we could get some attacking players fit we wouldn't be talking about playing him. Similar to Ndala and Akintola in that sense.

Feels like the gap between the better players and the weaker players in the squad this year is very wide. Probably a result of the embargo.

On paper, looked to me like a great signing. A coup even.
On grass, a big disappointment so far. But as you say, time still on his side.

Which makes what we’ve achieved so far this season all the more remarkable.
