At what point do Blackburn get punished for their pitch?

I had huge sympathy for them first time around. But you can't excuse it happening again. I don't know if it's something which they can be punished for, but they have a responsibility to prepare a pitch fit for purpose.

They had a game abandoned last season too. Pretty sure some local non league clubs have managed to get games on as well which is rather embarrassing for them.

They can’t keep getting away with having games abandoned though surely? If there’s no threat of punishment then they’ll never sort it out.

Christ that's a proper punch up!

Good luck to whoever has to sort that mess out. Except for Knight starting it, everyone else seems to have their own scrap going on.

Here's another view.

Over the past 10 seasons, the average points total to finish in second place is 90.

The result combinations for Saints to get that with 27 games left are:
  • 21 wins, 0 draws, 6 losses
  • 20 wins, 3 draws, 4 losses
  • 19 wins, 6 draws, 2 losses
  • 18 wins, 9 draws, 0 losses
I think this season it might be less than 90 points to finish second, but interesting to see the type of form we might need to get in the autos based on previous years.

Looks like it all came as a result of a disallowed bristol city equaliser in the last minute.

Given offside but clearly onside on the replay

Bristol City staff saying millwall coaching staff then winding up their players over it afterwards

From those possibilities, 20 wins 3 draws and 4 losses seems to be the most realistic of the four, but still highly unlikely. We would have to keep our current form until the end of the season. The play-offs are our best bet this season I think.

Big game for Pompey tonight away to Swansea. But the real test tonight is for Blackburns pitch. Don't know what the weathers been like up there but we've had a lot of rain down here over the last 24 hours. Lots of flooded roads on my drive this morning.

Will be very interesting to see what happens at Blackburn tonight. The good news for them is if it's playable at kick off it will be fine as the rain will have stopped by then according to the forecast.

You wouldn’t think they’d have a flooding problem with all those holes.
