Another six points deducted from Sheffield Wednesday.

What's the point?
They are down anyway.

The punishment will only have bite if the additional 6 points are deducted next season.

Indeed.
I'm not saying the deduction (either one) is right or wrong.
This second one just seems meaningless, of no value as a deterrent or effectiveness as a sanction.
Looks like box ticking.
It has no effect on Wednesday as they were already down.

These points need to be deducted to go through the process so if similar situations occur people can see what punishment is coming.

Understood.
I just think giving Wednesday another 6 point deduction when they are already down is like giving a convict two prison sentences but saying he can serve them both at the same time. One of the punishments is rendered meaningless.
Hardly an effective deterrent to others.

Heard it’s just top seven - sorry
Miss out on automatic promotion by one goal, play offs come in shortly after. Reach a cup final of a new competition and it's played at Boothferry Park, the next season it's switched to Wembley. So, top seven only, lucky as ever and no surprises there. :emoticon-0138-think

Just bought two tickets for the Boxing Day clash at Norwich. I’ll be away but my son and a friend of his are going.
Should be a good game and atmosphere

We go in the Queen of the Iceni (steady) pub, but they banned away fans and you have to show proof of address. It's quite handy having a brother that lives in Norfolk, he's doing missionary work there but has a hell of a time getting them out of their cellars. :emoticon-0138-think

Fairly sure they still make giant wicker men there. :emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance:emoticon-0169-dance

World Cup draw tomorrow - let’s see if we are as lucky with the draw under Tuchel as we were under Southgate.
