    i have to admit throwing a few ****s at some of the shots but was pleasantly surprised to come back to the house see Root and Archer had put on the late runs.May well set my alarm for tomorrow.

    I don't see any reason to be critical of that mini cluster of wickets before Jofra came out. Seems pretty clear that we were happy to bowl in those conditions (with the pink ball), but didn't want to just declare in order to do so. So instead: have a whack, and either the runs flow or we get on with bowling. Stokes would have seen that as a win-win.

    And now the aussies are confirming that there is very little in this pitch and it is easy to score on. If only half of our batting line up didmt just give their wicket away
