Ffos Las being off tomorrow is disappointing but somewhat inevitable given the amounts of rain that has fallen in recent days (including today). In the middle of last week I had been hoping to attend this fixture but this has obviously not proved possible. At that time I was hugely excited by the prospect of Keltype (who I first mentioned on these pages back in the Spring) debuting in the 'lucky last' but the levels of precipitation sadly put paid to that (in fact he wasn't even declared for the meet yesterday). Anyway, keep an eye out for when this one does finally appear on a racecourse (Keltype that is not yours truly). And although he's not now going to Ffos Las Keltype does still very much remain, an entry, in the rich Bumper at Newbury, next March.
Was looking out for Keltype after seeing an interview with the very luvly Rebecca a few weeks back. Really likes this one for bumpers. I see he has an entry at Chepstow on Saturday now. Looking at the Chepstow entries there’s one in there that may interest Oddy - the half brother of JPR One. Going back to the very luvly Rebecca she seemed very taken with Bande Organisee. She reckoned if she’s ever had one to make up into a Gold Cup horse this was it. Ran a very nice race in 3rd in a recent Chepstow bumper. Big ol unit.
They didn't exactly think long and hard re the naming of JPR One's sibling did they?!? Cor blimey. Presley, from Dodgy / Burly (delete as appropriate) Dan's yard looks potentially interesting as well - related to my old fave, Long Run. I'm sure Dodgy / Burly (delete as appropriate) Dan will be hoping that this one leaves the opposition all shook up. I say all shook up!!! Although I do wonder what actually will turn up at Chepstow, in this heat, on Saturday. Weather forecast (especially on Friday) not great at all.
I see that Timeform are headlining the fact that they have now attached the dreaded 'x' to Constitution Hill's rating. The 'x' denotes 'poor jumper'. Cor bally blinkin' blimey what will Timeform be telling us after next weekend's racing??? That Chepstow is in Wales!?! Meanwhile, the question of the day must be how much will the Devizes crew get for old girl, Tiffany, at Tattersalls later on today??? My guess it that they are going to have a very, very Merry Christmas!!! Kerrrrrrrrr-ching and all that...
Keeping my fingers crossed. However it will be Club that gets the dosh, rather than us members. Hoping for no delays on my train so I get home in time to watch her go through the ring online
