'Chelsea Level' midfielders tend to cost £100 million and might even have a world cup winners medals ... so not many are ...
They don’t. Chelsea just chose to massively overpay for the two players who happen to be in their midfield now and were crap for a long time. Can’t blame the guy for going there as I’m sure he was offered silly money and maybe believed he was good enough to break through but it was always going to be a pointless signing for them. They’ve got their money back and he’s playing somewhere he’s good enough to be. Everyone is happy.
We know what they cost. That isn’t what those level of midfielders typically cost at the level they were when they bought. Chelsea got mugged off particularly for Fernandez.
Well if you go back to my original post, you'll see I only commented on their cost ... your anti-Chelsea feelings then kicked in ...
I was always going to regret joining in on another of your pointless arguments. You said they tend to cost £100m. They don’t.
Not yet .... and after the Ruud experience, probably unlikely ... Most fans would prefer 'one of our own' ... so Robins, Martin O'Neil or Neil Lennon likely to head up the popular list...
**** sake. Regretting it more now. Two things can be true. Chelsea paid £100m or whatever it was for them. Players at the level, particularly when they bought them, don’t tend to cost that much.
So there was nothing actually incorrect in me pointing out that, at Chelsea, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was competing for a starting spot with 2 players that had cost Chelsea over £100 million? ... good ... we got there in the end...
If you did say that earlier then it’s very different to the point we’re having this increasingly ridiculous conversation over as you’re wont to getting into.
Might be better to wait until the end of the season mate as you have a track record of over hyping players. It was only a few weeks ago you said Leicester had the strongest squad in the championship and Monga was the next messiah. How’s those comments working out for you?
It’s a perfectly fine sentence though I admire your perseverance to grind every debate down to the point the other person gives up pointing out where you’re wrong.
Even now we could field a team of full Internationals and have more on the bench, which - we likely also have the most expensive squad - as such, in theory, we have one of the strongest squads in this division... but not a good team right now ... Jeremy Monga is a kid with tremendous potential... one of the best talents to come through the academy and I'm as confident as it's possible to be that he will go on to do very well ... just as Heskey, Chilwell, Barnes and Dewsbury-Hall have done ... all winning trophies after moving on from Leicester City...
I think what have concluded is this Hall fella is a very average player, who would be more at home in the Championship than the PL. You have to remember this is Fosse you having a conversation with.
... "as you're wont to getting into" ... my how educational standards have slipped ... ... and thanks for continuing with it ... nowt funnier than some claiming not to be bothered, when bothered ...
