Stephan seems pleasant enough although it would be good for both the players and us the supporters if he did just get a little bit more animated or rather, angry. He has his favourites but then every manager does. However he does tinker far too much for reasons I fail to understand and, 18 games in I am still to be convinced that he has any tactical awareness. If it works, great it's worked - if it doesn't 'c'est la vie' and he shrugs his shoulders.

I tend to agree with that. He's tinkered and still tinkering with playing players out of their natural positions. It's still an experiment to him .

Weird isn't it that everyone was lauding Fields performance at LB prior to today. Also taking into account RND has been injured seemed an obvious selection to me. RB if not Mbengue? Well Dunne isn't a RB so who does play there Adamson? Rest of team played where they should be playing so not sure what u r on about Bob?

Made pretty reasonable time. At Thurrock services now.

That was appalling. On the ball and off the ball, disastrous from the first minute. The defence has no confidence in Nardi and rightly so. ****ing Mbengue has the first touch of a 1987 Ford Mondeo. Cook and Dunne and Field in the defence and basic defending was beyond them.

Varane is a joke- puts in a few tackles every four games but today was him at his worst. We were so easy to play against, Harvey Price would’ve looked like Pirlo in their midfield.

Credit to Smyth who was the only one really at the level. Did more in a half than Saito and Dembele combined, the drowned rats.

****ing Stéphan bringing on ****ing Frey at half time. **** off.

Disappointing result. Not sure what people expect of this squad but we are still better off than this stage last season. These players turn out for QPR because they are not good enough - yet in some cases, but never will be in most - to play for better, richer, clubs. My expectation was that we would be relegated this season and now I don’t think we will be. But all these teams are about the same level and losing as many as we win is a decent par.

I don’t expect great things from us this season and around mid to lower table would be expected but……… Norwich haven’t won a game in 13, new manager without a win…..so after playing well lately, l do expect us at least have a drab draw, certainly not a 1-3 loss.

l must lower my expectations, again.

Personally, I never lauded Fields performance at left back, infact I was quite surprised he started there again as I thought he wasn't that good in the position despite others opinions. Didnt realise RND had been injured, especially since he's been in every squad bar one game since October. Field at lb is an experiment, Morgan at RB is an experiment, Saito up front is an experiment. The centre back pairings has and still is an experiment. The keeper situation is even more than that. I've not seen Adamson play but he must be pretty poor if you have to play players out of position to cover the slot.

It must be very frustrating for Kolli not to be given a run against the league's league's defence.
Think there’s more to it we don’t know about. Attitude in training or his dad being a knob again. Doesn’t help but I can’t believe JS is thinking he’s not good enough for at least the bench and occasional start and that’s it.

I’d really like to see Morgan get more time too either in midfield where those two seem to be undroppable or at right-back where Mbengue is ****e.

There are going to have to start to be question marks over Stephan. Not for tinkering - today's team was the same as Wednesday's apart from the enforced goalkeeper change - but for not knowing his best eleven or where to play people. I think we have the best squad of 22 that we've had for several seasons. He's got to do better with what he's been given.

That's just the point though, isn't it. It's what he's been given by Nourry, as opposed to what he's chosen as his transfer targets. He came in late in the window, and many of our summer signings were already in the door before he came along.

Yes, I'm as disappointed with todays result as anyone else, but I think we'll be ok this season and hope that we can build on the groundwork that has started under Stephan. It'll be telling as to what (if any) business we do in January, and how much input Stephan will have in the recruitment.

I'm not sure how much input managers (or head coaches) have on signings these days. They will say what their requirements are, but won't be selecting individuals, it seems to me. We seem to have issues with both FB positions (although I don't see why RND doesn't start every week), so that's where January priorities shoud lie.

We should be trying to buy RND, he's the best FB we've had for ages - be gutted if he goes back to Sheffield in Jan
