Good to see the team supporting women and girls who've suffered gender based violence. https://x.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1993288563870556340
Amazing, think the PL & EFL should do the same as Serie A do, all wear a mark on the face. again, so many will not see the point of this and turn it into a joke or something along those the lines.
While we all want this to stop I don't see how a media campaign is going to stop scum attacking women one little bit? Scum will be scum. Happy to be enlightened.
sadly, you are right ( not sad you are right, sad about the scenario). Some will always be scum and lash out, most attacks happen after a football game,( or sport in general) but if this can just stop one or two attacks its a start,
If domestic violence is normalised and talked about, it's easier for women who are being harmed to get out. I stayed far longer than I should have done as I was ashamed about what was happening. The coercive control meant he'd twisted my mind into believing there was no escape and I won't survive on my own without him. If it had been more normalised and easier to ask for help, I might have been able to escape earlier which would have meant less harm to me and my children.
