I agree with this. Not too surprised that we have signed another forward who has struggled to step up.

He needs someone Iike Dave Merrington to train up.

Is Cam Archer injured? Completely forgot about him recently.

Do they have a good team these days? Don’t pay attention to international football.

Well you’d think with the World Cup there 2026 you’d think they would try and field a decent team.
Surely to be an international of any team you need to be half decent

NJ's post match interview is actually very reasonable and calm.

I do think he was put in an poor position by SR, they hired him based on data, effectively backing him to reproduce what he'd done until then. Then hung him out to dry when it wasn't right for Saints.

He went on the very defensive and ended up having a go at the fans etc hence the backlash.

But I agree with other sentiments above; he wasn't right for us and he'll always get flack (fairly good natured) for the way it went, but he's miles above Russell Martin for me in how I feel about him personally.

Ballard scored six in his first three games, and hasn't scored since. We need to stop doing that one, we really do. Neither are good enough.

Ahh didn’t realise that in fairness! He was prolific for youth teams and do think he’ll have a great pro career regardless

He's a decent enough player around the L1 level, but no more than that. It's like harking back to Onuachu because he's top scorer in Turkey.

Adarma will get more than both of them if we continue to play in a way that plays to his strengths.

Yep and if we get promoted we need to ditch him immediately, like basically the entire squad

I've not read through the fred yet so apologies if this has been mentioned but any thoughts on how the back 3 is the source of all our problems and that it's not attacking enough? :bandit:

Biggest problem is Arma can’t play number 9.

He was sensational yesterday, was absolutely everywhere. One of my favourite moments was the tackle he came back and made midway into our half.

Glad he scored as he nearly ****ed it up by forgetting the ball but took the second shot very well.

He looks so much happier now we're not hoofing the ball up to him.

Think the other thing which helped Armstrong yesterday was that the midfielders were regularly running beyond him.

Not seen enough of that this season.
