Just looks like he doesn’t give a f*ck. Like it’s a training game or something. Genuinely can’t work him out.

I thought that before today, but as he was being subbed on I was focusing directly on him. He genuinely looked scared. I'm no sports psychologist or body language expert but from my pov the lad looked really really nervous

The bloke looks terrified every time he's out there.
I think he does very well to even turn up for training. If I was getting that much **** thrown at me every match day, and even when I didn’t play, I would stay in bed with a pillow over my head. He doesn’t go out to play badly. It’s his life that is turning to dust.

At one point today he did a really good bit of hold up play by taking it down and moving it away from the defender but then elected to it back to bazunu...

Loan out to L1 in January, free up a squad space. Have a look in the summer and sell if he’s still not doing much.

Totally agree, he’s devoid of any confidence & needs to be playing regularly. Dutch league would be a shout imo

Still can’t believe we sold Ballard in replacement… 6 goals in 11 games so far this season. Really can’t see Downs beating that in L1 tbh

Hard to tell if it’s confidence or he’s just rubbish.

I definitely agree about loaning him out - as much for his benefit as our own. But it won't free up a space in our 25 man registration list because he's an U21 player.

I watched him today and thought he got in some reasonable positions albeit that wasnt difficult as it was an open game. to me he seems to make his initial contact with the ball correctly or reasonably but then appears absolutely clueless about his second touch. I agree, keep him out of the squad and give him an extended run in the u21's , maybe appoint Oriol as his mentor and try to coach some confidence into him. I dont think he can be as bad as he looks.

I am a wee bit concerned, that when we have one of the best results in decades, some (including myself!) chose the option to pick on an individual who is clearly underperforming, do you actually get any benefit from doing so? I just hope he gets his act together, we have had players in the past that went through a bad period, but evetually came good, perhaps we need to be a bit more patient.
