Ordinarily would just accept it and be willing to give Slot the time, but you can’t ignore the fact he is making the same mistakes every week. Our best and only player who seems up to full fitness is completely unnecessarily thrown at RB, and despite the fact that we were playing ok and the opener was against the run of play, we act like it’s the 85th minute, **** all tactics and shape off and run forward like a bunch of U12’s - it’s pathetic
It has to get better than this, we have too many good players not to turn this around. The biggest disappointment for me is losing at home. We have always found a way to win at home despite some performances not being the best. We're losing the fear factor. I'm always guided by the reaction of the match going fans as to how good or bad things are. They tend to be more patient and forgiving than the keyboard warriors. If Slot loses the match going fans, then he could be in trouble.
I've stopped caring now, same as I did during the slump in the 20-21 season. Barring an absolute miracle the title is beyond us now, so for me the pressure is off, and I'm just interested to see where it goes and how much worse it can get before it gets better.
People leaving with 10 minutes to go. Unheard of in recent years. It wasn't long ago, we could be 3 nil down with 5 minutes to go, looking defeat in the face, but in the back of your mind you knew, if we got the next goal we could turn this around. We look like we could play for another 5 days never mind minutes and not score.
Fan. noun an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport or a performing art) usually as a spectator. Dickhead. noun vulgar slang•derogatory a stupid, irritating, or ridiculous man
Mate, I wouldn't take any notice of a fan of a club whose biggest achievement was an FA cup 100 years ago. It's not surprising that their fans don't know the difference.
My niece goes to every home game. Haven't spoken to her about today's game but she gives me an insight into the general feeling amongst the fans at the game. You know from when you go to the game, you do tend to have a different opinion very often than when you watching it on the telly.
The last time that I felt like this was under Hodgson. I said to my lad before the game that I had a bad feeling about it. Slot seems to not trust some players and that means that instead of accepting a slightly weaker option in one position, he moves our best player this season into a different role and weakens two positions. Thats not even discussing the forward position; Isak should be on for 20m if the game is secure. I’m fed up of seeing him make the same mistake over again. It’s like Groundhog Day. It’s clear now that we won the league with a team he did not influence -we won on muscle memory, if you like.
It was Klopp's team. Slot bought one player who he rarely played. However, the players took to him straight away and you could see a marked difference coming out in second halves where we were going in a goal behind. I used to wonder what Slot said to them at halftime because they came out with more fight and determination than they went in. He was coaching them well. That's all changed now. It's always looked like there are certain players who he doesn't/didn't fancy and also an apparent disregard for the young players. He's bought some great players but seems to have done so with no plan in mind. We didn't need both Isak and Ekitike, for instance. We could have used the Isak money on Guehi and a winger (or two). I'm not calling for Slot to go but he's really got to arrest the situation and show that he has what it takes to manage a team with the expectations that this team (and fans) has.
we are in deep trouble as we need to change things but there is little behind the the first 11 .and tactically Slot just keeps doing the same things
