    Saturday 12:30pm

Bristol City are going into the game Saturday with a huge bonus of Cam Pring and Jason Knight back in the first team squad.
A large crowd is expected at Ashton Gate.
    Swansea selling their allocation.

We say: Bristol City 2-0 Swansea City

With Bristol City looking to get back into the playoff positions, they will be hoping to get back to winning ways against a side who have won just once in their last eight games. Despite their injury woes, we expect the Robins to improve their home form and take all three points.

Bristol City host struggling Swansea City at Ashton Gate as Championship football returns after the international break.
Bristol City sit two points and two places below the play-off spots after eight games, though a run of three games without a win before the break will have them eager to get back on track.
Following just one defeat in their opening seven games this season, the Robins’ red hot form has somewhat cooled. Defeats to Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers and a 1-1 draw at Watford leaves them 8th.

Under Gerhard Struber, Bristol City have been firing in front of goal this season. They are the third-highest scorers in the division with only Hull City and Coventry City scoring more than the Robins’ 22 goals.
As for visitors Swansea City, they head to Bristol City. One win in their previous five games led to the departure of Alan Sheehan as the international break began, and top target Kim Hellberg is heading to Middlesbrough.

Following an 11th place finish last season, the Swans were hoping to kick on and push for the play-offs, but this season hasn’t gone to plan to date.
With only 15 goals scored this season, Swansea City have been poor in front of goal. Zan Vipotnik has carried the goalscoring efforts, so the new boss will be eager to drive more out of the supporting cast.
    Joss Taylor
“I can only see a Bristol City victory here.

Swansea City’s on-field problems coupled with an already poor and down beaten side will give them a massive mountain to climb in what will be a hotly-contested match.
Bristol City have been in a poor spell of form having only won two of their last five, but remain a much stronger unit than the Swans.

“Should Swansea find a manager between now and Saturday, there is every chance they will not be in the dugout for the game and therefore, I can’t see the Welsh side having the confidence or belief to get a result at what is a very tricky place to go.”

Prediction: Bristol City 2-0 Swansea City

    James Ray
“Bristol City are in a great position to win here. Their form before the break wasn’t great, but they face a Swansea City side in a tough spot at the moment.

“What the Swans needed was a

    quick appointment
, instilling some confidence back in the club hierarchy and giving the new boss plenty of time to work with the squad. However, after losing the scramble for Hellberg, they may well go into this managerless, which was not planned.

“It means the Robins have a

    great chance
to put them to the sword, and the Swans’ attacking struggles might even see them claim a clean sheet.”

    Struber presser

    Vitek presser

Personally I think Bristol City will be to strong for Swansea and I see a 3-0 win.
    You redssssssssss

It's all looking positive isn't it but if ever there was a single game that smelled badly of bananas then this is right up there. Our usual problem when we go into these critical fixtures is that we seem to lose focus and put ourselves behind the eight ball so many times and how much better could we be by reducing the pressure on ourselves. We have some good players coming back from injury and others that may be close to a return but risks cannot be taken with their fitness at this busy time in the schedule as we will need them seriously in the dark depths of winter. City 2 Swansea 1. Come on lads and best wishes to all returns from injury. :emoticon-0137-clapp

If Struber plays/risks Knight and Pring might he go 3-5-2.

    Vitek
    Tanner,Dickie, Vyner.
McCrorie, Randell, Twine, Knight and Pring.
    Armstrong and Riis.

He won't, pretty obvious he'll pick Mehmeti. Interesting what side and set up Struber will select.

I can see Swansea attacking down our left, with Vyner on his wrong foot I hope Mehmeti remembers his tracking back duties.

Feel sorry for Zak, as the only CB with any versatility, he’s always the one who has to play out of position

Sincs passing has been awful this half, although he did well for the effort cleared off the line

Enjoying this game in the Trafalgar!!

Need to keep it going - Swansea have had a few dangerous efforts.
Mehmeti has been frustrating - but also contributed well at times. Typical Anis.
    Armstrong - the same really.
    4th in the table now.

Great that we’re 2 up, but we seem to ball watch at times and as usual our passing is too often very poor

Armstrong is sometimes frustrating but he's definitely contributing in a very positive way.
Not least for taking the weight off Riis allowing Struber to manage Riis's game time.
    Great to see Knight back.

Thought Sincs did well today, had one cleared off the line, and the keeper did well to save another effort, his passing was wayward at times, but much improved

3 assist by Anis today. How dare he do that. Don’t he know he’s a whipping boy on here!
