This is not normal.

Still regret that I couldn't travel today, but not quite as much as before this disaster kicked off.

Just ween the 5th Saints goal on SSN.
Looked like our whole team was drawn to the ball like a bunch of 8 year olds in a school playground.

Perhaps we can 'win' the second half and regain a little self-respect.

A draw or a victory from this position though would be the greatest comeback since Johnny Summers vs Huddersfield in 1957.

We're just up from the 3rd tier, so a couple of tonkings during the season are almost inevitable.
If it was Coventry or Boro or Stoke pulling our pants down, we would have to grin and bear it.

But Southampton. At the Valley. Not excusable.

Beaten by a much better team.

They completely outclassed us. The way they passed thru our “midfield “ was a class apart. We looked like we were playing without full backs at times, so wide open were we.

I suspect we are about to enter a tough phase. Difficult games + a decimated squad doesn’t look good.

Not replacing Dr Will Abbott 3 months ago is a growing mystery.

They have £15m players and were in the Prrmier League last season, while we were losing at home to Crawley in L1.
