The chilcot enquiry was damning about both Blair and his government. Really damning. Blair was a decent leader for a while but he should be forever be remembered for the basis on which he took us to war and the subsequent consequences which it brought. Catastrophic on many levels.
If you want to hate someone, he’s up there with David Moyes.

weapons of mass destruction he lied to us and said he had proof none was found
Rubbish and the equirys didn’t say that. If they had his position would have been untenable. That said that If anybody was to blame it was the intelligence. However, the Tories were more gung ho than the Labour Party and given the 9/11 context I can understand to a degree.

back to subject Farage and Reform, what’s your view on this fella?

There are corrupt ones on both sides but Labour far outweigh reform on corruption
Mind Rog I haven’t seen any Labour politician saying tjey wants to shoot Farage. The Reform councillor up in Northumberland who wants to shoot Statmer hasn’t given up his county council seat, £15k a year perhaps?

Haway man. The enquiry was published after he was out of politics. It stated he deliberately exagerrated the threat. It stated he deliberately promished Bush he would be with him forever. It stated Blair ignored warnings on what would happen after. That is before the findings about the government at large which included they had no plan for post war, the armed forces were ill equipped and they did not keep a tally of Iraqi citizen casualties.

I find it staggering anyone thinks the enquiry was anything other than damning about Blair. Only Blair himself seems to think he was right.

Your interpretation but he has to go some to top 23,000.

I remember him being asked what made you decide to go to war, he said I asked God and he said it was the right thing to do.
What a f ucking turnip that man was.
Whilst Johnson just danced on the Queens husband’s grave.

and it’s a thread about Farage so if you don’t want to post about Farage just ignore.

What has this to do with Trump, apart from they are all rotten peas in a pod? All I would say in relation to the bbc and Trump, why did they feel the need to make Trump look like a dangerous idiot, he needs no help.

Reform are rotten to their hate filled core and this is appalling

Not my interpretation at all. Bloody hell man. Read the report. Or just the headlines. Even the Guardian spelled it out in capitals.

I doubt you want to compare that figure tbh. I wont look it up, but the numbers of people who die in wars are usually much higher.
Aye the Guardian loved Blair. The enquiry did not call Blair a war criminal which was implied. Still the best PM in recent history.

23,000 deaths due to corruption and incompetence- no wonder those on the right want to talk about a politician who left power 2 decades ago.

Patronising misogynistic nonsense Roger. Rachel has a hell if a mess to clear up. Farage has proposed massive cuts to public services and Reform MPs when challenged do not have a clue.

So we had sunlit uplands in July last year. :)

Record borrowing and record taxation and doubling the national debt on the Tory watch and stagnation due to Brexit. Some rewriting history here :)

Ex labour MP switches to green party. Claims Labour leaving millions behind.

Not a big story in isolation. But the new lad at the Greens, who I originally thought to be a bit of a dafty, seems to be turning a few labour heads. Interesting to watch. We know nobody is defecting to the tory mess unless they completely change leadership and tone. Liberals sitting on a decent base of power but have such lowly aspirations. Will the new found voice of the greens make headway. At least they have clarity which none of the others have. They arent for me though.
