Crawley absolutely infuriates me, out first over in a manner everyone could have predicted- a loose drive outside off stump with zero foot movement.

That was a sobering first session considering the Aussies are minus their two best bowlers.

 

Really poor from England.

 

This was always on the cards, we don’t have the mentality to grind out Test runs. We lost our last 5 wickets for 12 runs, we’ve got a longer tail than an alligator.

 

This England team seem incapable of grafting like Australia are doing at the moment.

 

The mindset is all wrong. It’s all about “entertainment “. Unfortunately they don’t record entertainment in Wisden, only wins & losses.

 

TNT’s coverage is absolutely appalling, why have they got the crowd noise on mute ffs ? I want to hear the abuse. My mate is out there & says the crowd abuse is off the scale

 

Perhaps England should try playing the match. Not the occasion.

 

England are flat track bullies. When they come up against a team like Australia in their own country they fold.

 

I agree about the coverage. I would also like to hear from an Aussie commentator. Since I have been watching it has only been Brits.

 

Yes, the best coverage is balanced.

What a day this is.

 

Our bowling is everything our batting isn’t.

 

Both these batting line ups are brittle. Aussies not enjoying the pace of our bowlers.

 

Doesn't bear much resemblance to Test match cricket, does it.

 

All things change. Great effort from the England bowlers to get back into the game.

 

One of the great days of Test cricket in terms of drama & the quality of the pace bowling. This is elite sport at its best.
