It would be interesting to see how they manage it, perhaps it would mean a more long term movement of Mayenda to the right side - but I think thats too much striker competition if thats a thing.

Should we sign another striker someone more of the Sidiki Cherif profile who won't be expecting consistent starts would be nicer, a young lad who can come in and play once we eventually sell one of ours.

Guendouzi and Yilmaz would do nicely. One additional central midfielder that is in the Xhaka/sadiki/diarra class, and a versatile attacker capable of playing across the front 3 that is a step up above any of our attackers. Make them both earn their place from the bench to begin with.

also think we might go a bit mad buying 17-20 year olds like Brentford do.

1000% the 2 main positions to target, maybe I'm mad but I don't really want Guendouzi and would prefer we get a left footer to play on the right - but someone versatile and/or comfortable on both feet wouldn't be sniffed at.

I’d want a younger player in Xhaka’s position who’d eventually replace him but can step in for games now when he’s suspended. I also thing we need more goal threats behind the 9 and a better second left back.

Getting a younger player with Xhakas experience would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Just been checking on Xhaka's career before Arsenal and I was surprised they paid £35 million to Borussia Mönchengladbach for him in 2016. Didn't know it was that much. Arsenal wanted to buy Kanté before him but were put off by the agents' fees which were more than £10 million.

gabriel Sara perhaps. He’s been linked before, although raiding Galatasary for him and Yilmaz seems an expensive January raid.

bouadd from Lille would be unreal. Massive clubs after him but we could promise him first team football in the prem, with a development focus, and Francophile coach + squad.

Could be yeah, I'm scared how much they'd ask for Bouaddi - but then sometimes French clubs are pretty reasonable.
