I'm not a RL fan by any stretch of the imagination but even I know the new Board at Rovers have improved the ground massively.
There is a new all seater stand at one end of the ground and an extra seating area/ stand was added to the East side of the ground only recently.
I'd go as far as saying that more work and improvements have been made to Craven Park over recent years then we have seen at the MKM and there are plans in place for a whole lot more of improvements, especially behind the scenes facilities for the club and the community, adding value to the ground/club, plans I wish we had in place for 'our' ground.
Plus the biggest factor, Rovers own their ground.

The new stands are temporary scaffold structures, they increase the capacity slightly but I wouldn’t say they improve the ground. The last major improvement was the North Stand and that was 12 years ago.

Craven Park is probably tied with Wakefield for the 3rd worst stadium in Super League only ahead of Catleford and Bradford.

That said, there’s a nostalgia to a ground like Craven Park that you just don’t get with modern stadiums, so whilst it’s a bit rough around the edges, I’m sure Rovers fans love the place, just like we did with Boothferry Park.

Fair enough. I don't visit any rugby league grounds so I cannot comment on the best and the worse of them, only that people I know say the present Craven Park is getting better and it is a good day out. One of my daughters helped raise the funding for the North Stand when she worked for Rovers. The present Board at Rovers are improving Craven Park and the surrounding area, they have big plans and the funding for it. I just wish we had the same ideas and funding in place to develop the MKM Stadium, because very little has been spent since the day it was opened.
I'd say if there was any nostalgia it would be for the old Craven Park on Holderness Road, not this one, which is still relatively new. Agree about Boothferry Park and it annoyed me this week to see the memorial where the old Boulevard was, funded by the council and a fans group. Not that Hull Fc have one, but the fact that the one we were promised where Boothferry Park stood, and the 'memorial garden' seems to have been lost in the post.

It'll go full circle, as ever, and they'll be skint again. Not that they're flush, last year they posted a £1.3 million loss.

The ground caters for all sorts.
The North Stand is very good.
The East stand is dreadful.
Some parts of the West stand have limited views .
The southern end is a mix of temporary and food stalls.

Just watching the third test match versus Australia.
Lewis playing as full back and having a bit of a mare.

Mixed day for the Rovers boys, Burgess was awful, there’s a reason he’s not played a test in nearly 10 years, Lewis was poor but he’s never a full back so I have some sympathy. Litten was excellent, he’s firmly cemented his place as Englands first choice hooker ahead of the World Cup.

I think Rovers have justified moving the World Club final to the MKM with the ticket sales so far.
16,000 in the first hour and they're not on general sale yet, needless to say they're expecting a sell out.
I wasn't in favour of moving it but what do I know? <laugh>

Never really understood why Rovers wouldn't have moved the game to the MKM. I know it's a football ground and an FC ground but think of the money!

Here ya go, off Rovers fans forum.
Hull KR are delighted to confirm the Clash of the Champions, Hull KR vs Brisbane Broncos, has sold out all 24,600 tickets available at the MKM Stadium becoming the fastest selling World Club Challenge ever.

Do you know the capacity for the game? Believe it’s usually reduced for RL.

Only reduced because for Super League they aren’t all allocated seats. Reduces capacity to 23,500 though the attendance for a derby has never reached that.
