BBC making things up again?

League Two leaders Walsall have added former Leeds United and Rangers striker Kemar Roofe on a short-term deal until January.

The 32-year-old joins the Saddlers as a free agent having left Derby County in the summer after making only three appearances in the second half of last season.
Like the good old days Bamford and Roofe competing for a starting place but this time in fewest minutes played in a season <laugh>

Mental if we’ve got 40m to spend. Bring in Wilson in January, sell Meslier & Gnoto. Bring in a new CM that can play CDM, CM & CAM. If possible sell Piroe & buy another striker however I think this’ll need to wait until summer.

Who said we’ve 40m to spend and what would selling Meslier and gnonto raise. One is worthless, the other we’ve to give back forty percent of what ae get. January window will be the usual nonsense

May as well sell Perri for £15m and keep Super Mes

I rate Perri. Would probably help if his defensive and midfield were actually organised. Defo better than Mes.

Plus the fact he doesn’t like playing out from the back. A big part of his game is distribution by hand or his long kick. The crap tipppy tappy has been taught to him by DF and he ain’t good at it. Neither are our backs.

I’m not sure that’s setting the bar that high.

Tbh he’s looked more assured in his distribution of late. I was serious with my ‘jury out’ point.

I do have a pathological hatred of keepers that punch away everything, even when it should be a straight forward collect. I hate it even more when they knock it back into the danger zone. Meslier used to palm it back into the 6 yard box… Perri at least tries to push it hard but it’s already cost one goal and it’s risked a few others.

We get it. You don’t like Farke, you want him sacked. It’s just getting tiresome (for me) listening to your rhetoric, particularly when you vanished as we were getting promoted. It is very likely you will get your wish so I am hoping you get fully behind whoever takes over.

I said early on Kinnear walking was a big red flag for me. He'd previously warned of the futility of buying 10 to 20m pound players for the pl. He then walks out or is forced out just when the 49ers were set to repeat that strategy. I don't know who's to blame and not terribly bothered, but most of it is on the owners shoulders. They recruited the manager and most of the current squad and the staff behind the scenes. All irrelevant now as the script has been written for the season
Sunderland are proving this wrong

Opening question about anyone circling Farke - He was given the best tools in the division and failed season one, season two did what was expected.

On the run in of that first season, we won 1 drew 1 lost 4

We did slide end of season 1 with Farke. Legitimate criticism. He did take over a sh*tstorm and played a big part in putting that team together though and ,we were comfortably the best side last in the league last year even if Burnley had a freak defensive run.

Genuine question for those holding Sunderland up as ‘proof’. Do you really think they’re a good side?

Fair play to Sunderland. I genuinely want them to do well for a variety of reasons. But if you watched their games and watched our games. They’ve not been better than us this season, If you look at chances created and xg, we’ve been better than them. They’ve managed to avoid the howlers we have made and they’ve converted at a rate that is completely unsustainable while the opposition have missed loads of chances. What they have shown is great spirit and togetherness. I applaud that. They couldn’t have wished for a friendlier first 6 games to get their season going. They’ve ridden that wave, it could have been very very different, and when the results change we’ll see how they really look.

Or they may have a season like forest did last year. Where every shot continues to go in, and the opposition keep missing sitters. They have the benefit of playing without ‘table pressure’ now.

Point is, its far too simplistic to say - Sunderland are shining light

It’s a sad sad reflection of where we are as a club that the only topic of conversation among fans day in day out is Farke. At a time where discussions could have been about new stadium, youngsters like Archie gray preparing to break through, squad strengthening in summer to push to another level and this is what we’re left with. I’m going to wish you all a happy Xmas now as if we get the expected thrashings between now and then, I’ll be switching off the WiFi for Xmas methinks
