Hellberg's another punt. Probably worth a go at a lower price than yanking someone mediocre off the managerial merry-go-round for more.

Time will tell as always :emoticon-0107-sweat
It’s a risk nevertheless.

It’s our worst start to a season since relegation from the PL, yet we have actually a stronger playing squad overall …. or do we?

Against both Leicester (no great shakes compared with a couple of seasons ago) and Ipswich, we’ve been overrun in midfield due in part to a lack of (foot) speed.

Are our players too slow or aren’t they good enough.

Coukd it be that Sheehan persisted in picking players out of form (Key), or players when there are better alternatives on the bench (Casey instead of Cabango?), or the wrong tactics?

Certainly, against Ipswich he played the wrong players and chose the wrong tactics. Take Widell, he played him right wing, when his best position is probably as a 10.

Then changed tactics at HT, took off Widell and brought on Cullen to play as the 10 …. <doh>

Personally, I’d have preferred, in these circumstances where we’re sinking like a stone, to have appointed someone with EFL and preferably Championship experience. Yes we took a punt on Brendan - but he’d Managed in the Championship previously.

Anyway, if it is Hellberg, I wish him well <cheers>

Good points Taff. I guess there are more questions than answers with AS and that was the problem. He could also have played Idah and Vip together, at least it keeps the opposition defence busy if you've got no midfield possession.

So here we are, let's go!
